i agree with you... But its normal for us to react about forgiving her husband inspite of what he did to her. That's terrible!

Are there any search guru's here? I've tried looking for pics or even the husband's side of the story. He used a shotgun on her and then on himself, so I'm wondering what is left of him?

Yes. It's very easy for those of us who have never had to deal with domestic violence in our own lives to judge. While we can all agree it's crazy for her to want him back -- and if she ever breaks the cycle of violence she'll see it that way too -- she can't see that.

My sister was the victim of domestic abuse for years. Three kids, the last one almost didn't survive and my sister had to have an emergency hysterectomy because of the beatings, but she still stayed with him for about 3 more years. Thankfully she is free of him now and she knows that staying was crazy, but at the time, her reasons made sense to her.

Rather than judging her for considering going back to him, think of how bloody brave she has been over the last few years. She's gone through hell and deserves respect for that.

I have been a victim myself and have taken many a beatings, but I never had any hard feelings. I was always able to forgive because I did it for me, not for the persons who tormented me. I made the decision to not keep any anger bottled up inside me to fester.
