Instead of an E i put I .now we don't know what to do coz her interview is one week away.

IIs it going to be a problem in the interview?can someone here give me some advice on what to do?t

Thank you...

Take a corrected form (s) to the interviews

I would write a explantion form and sign it as well

If your 1 week from interview that about all you can do now.

On the I-129F I used the Russian transliteration of my wife and son's name (Svetlana and Vladimir) and not the Ukrainian transliteration as is in there passports (Svitlana and Volodymyr)... We had no issues.

YMMV

I personally don't think it will be an issue

You have made it this far

I am sure they have encountered mis spelling numerous times

Just shows you how little they proof read the documents

In my case, when I received the instruction letter from USEM they misspelled my last name so that means it is also misspelled in all the forms in their system. What I did was, I called them and let them know that my last name was misspelled and they told me to fax a written letter stating that it was misspelled and I also fax my birth certificate to prove it. And during my interview it was all change already.

Tell your fiancee to call USEM and let them know the misspelled name. They will correct it but she have to fax a letter and the kid's birth certificate to prove it. USEM will give her the fax number.

i agree with spartan, that's the same thing we did. We called the USE, and we were instructed to fax them a letter regarding the correction of the name together with the Birth certificate. On the day of our interview it's all corrected, I even brought with me the copy of the letter I sent them just for back up. It's always better to smooth things out before the big day.

Good luck on their interview!

My fiancees interview is on may 13. if we fax the letter and birth certificate

To usem do you think by then its already been corrected?

By the time you call them and tell them the misspelled name they will correct it right away but for documentation procedure and formality you need to fax a letter and birth certificate of the kid to USEM.

I called usem and told them about the mispelled name on 129f

But before they can make any correction they have to cancel the

Interview date and they told me to send a letter and the BC. Then

They tried to get the same interview date but they can't so they reschedule

Her on the 4th of june now she has to wait. Again for another month

Why did they do that? When I called them and had changed my misspelled last name they only instructed me to fax the letter and bc. That's very unusual!!!!!! Sorry to hear about that. :(

that's a bummer. In my opinion it is better to make the correction now than later. either way there will be some delay coz of the necessary correction on the paper.

This should be lesson, to always recheck all the data in the forms.
