Very cool. It's interesting to see that in terms of legal immigration, Mexico is head and shoulders above everyone else.

trans0509whoiscomingtoamerica.jpg

But dig a little deeper. The fruit of seven illegal alien amnesties and family based chain migration has done its work. Those that illegally immigrate the most have the most representation.

The unfairness of that fact is obvious.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

 that's right! what happened to those days when you could find a good young foreign spouse and you could bring her/him the "legal way" but at the end he/she was just interested on a green card? those were the good ol' days! damn amnesties and their giveaways

Yeah the guy would be happy if just his relatives were able to immigrate. We already know he detests illegals but now he even objects LEGAL migration! I'm not talking about amnesty but about family chain migration, which is LEGAL because it means that somebody had to have papers in order to sponsor a relative

His objection to "family chain migration" is pretty funny, given that this website is dedicated to helping people do just that :)

Well AJ...if you remember...this site was originally a marriaged based website. At least it was when I first started reading posts here 6+ years ago (before I even joined). Since then it has changed considerably.

Marriage based and chain migration are 2 totally different aspects of immigration. Chain migration can exist totally independent of a marriage base.

Jumping over a fence and getting amnesty can be the start of the chain. So can marriage based residency.

LEGAL is LEGAL

And illegal is illegal. So why do we need to make the illegal legal when they are in fact illegal?

Illegal needs to be subject to the laws passed by our legislators. So why do you spend so much time cheerleading for illegal aliens?

I've never said that illegal is not illegal

I'm not even mentioning amnesty READ what i wrote, I'm pointing out your dislike for family chain migration. I even call them illegal aliens and don't even care about using the "proper" term; that in my opinion it is unfair and bigotry...yes but at least I'm not complaining over and over even about the legality of the process related to family chain sponsorship.

complaining about a legal process, come on... Again LEGAL is LEGAL

And why do you spend so much time complaining about something that happened many years ago? the amnesties are history deal with it...

After 7 illegal alien amnesties and the usual suspects demanding #8 it definitely is not history. Facts are facts and everyone needs to know and understand what is going on...now. The truth never hurt anyone, but certain people can't handle the truth nor do they want the truth to see the light of day.

So...what is the proper term for people that illegally jump over the fence with fake ID's and lie on their I-9's?

If the history of immigration is relevant in terms of fairness, let's explore that history in its entirety. Cherry picking that history only serves a specific agenda.

ok Jack Nicholson

And what's the proper term for people that in order to save some money (wages, taxes) hire these individuals and pay them under the table? Those who are to blame principally for this mess. By pretending that your countrymen don't do anything wrong doesn't take away the fact that they are the ones creating and feeding this monster called illegal immigration.

No jobs = no illegal immigration

so that's the solution. we need massive unemployment to solve the illegal crisis.
