Hi guys-- we got a receipt for the submission but no biometrics letter yet. The receipt is dated 4/14/2009, but when i go to check it online it says: "Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283." I believe I saw mention, somewhere, that to track the ROC you need the number from the biometrics letter. Is that true or should this receipt number show up as a valid case (in which case i should call and figure out ####### is going on)?

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

Look closely at your NOA1 letter. It says that for checking your status online you should use the number you can find on your biometrics letter.

I have the same problem, I filed in March and the case status still isn't available online...however we've already had biometrics done, and it still doesn't show up in the system, when calling, it still isn't found as well....:angry:

Oh, that sucks. That happened with my husband's I-130. We filed K-3 and the I-130 never showed up in the system.. but... eventually he was approved for a Cr-1 and I knew they had it because they started sending the right paperwork for it. Sometimes there is a total disconnect...

If you use the receipt number provided on biometric letter (but not on NOA1), normally it is supposed to work. But is a common complaint that case does not show up in the online system. Don't worry.

I-751 process:

4/06/09: Mailed I-751 to VSC by Express mail

4/07/09: Received by VSC

4/17/09: Check clearance.

4/20/09: NOA1 received in mail (receipt date: 4/08/09)

4/30/09: Biometric appt. letter received (appt. on May 15th)

5/05/09: Walk-in biometric done

9/02/09: Approval Email (touch on USCUS site)

9/03/09: Approval letter received (decision date: 8/27/09)

9/09/09: Touch, but no change in status on USCIS site.

9/11/09: Green card rec'd.
