Evidence at Embassy/Consulate

I remember reading a thread ages ago that USCIS doesn't pass on the original evidence submitted by the petitioner with the I-130 to the NVC, and therefore the Embassy/Consulate doesn't have it in front of them at the interview. Anyone know if that's true? My husband will have a really good amount of evidence for his interview in June, but I'm curious to know if the Consulate will have any idea about things like the length of time we've known each other, photos, number of visits etc., or whether he'll be going in there "cold" so to speak. I guess I've read too many alarming reports that interviewers seem to make up their minds about a couple's bona fides before the interview, but if they had that evidence it might influence those pre-conceived ideas. Anyone know?

The consulate gets sent your file from NVC. The CO does read/review the file to prepare for the interview.

Many here advocate front loading your submission so that there is plenty there for the CO to consider prior to the interview. In preparing for my now wife's K1 visa interview, as well as our AOS interview, we followed that advice. We did get an RFE regarding my ex-spouse's current address, supplied the documentation, and were successful.

I'd rather have them sifting through lots of pertinent info prior to the interview than have the CO evaluating a flurry of documents presented at the interview.

I know the Consulate gets a file from the NVC - police checks, birth and marriage certificates etc. - but does the NVC get the I-130 evidence from USCIS (photos, emails, phone records), and if so, does this get sent on the Consulate? Anyone know?
