ok i am get royally cunfuzzled. i was looking to see if the age requirements for hpv had changed after my usc friend said that its 25 cut off in usa.

well i can across this page on uscis

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

and it starts talking about tb requirements changes. I was gunna get our doctor to do the missing vaccinations on the 14th of this month and maybe get the famous dr arnold o do the i-693 for us. but a statement on this page hit me

Q: Will USCIS accept Form I-693 if the civil surgeon performed a chest x-ray without the TST?

No, the civil surgeon must administer the TST, unless one of the exceptions listed in the Technical Instructions applies. If the civil surgeon performs a chest x-ray without giving the applicant the TST, the reason for omitting the TST must be noted on Form I-693.

ok my medical was performed in london on the 6th nov 08 so clearly after this thing came into effect (May 1, 2008) and more than 30 days after so no grace period. but they never did a skin scratch test just the x ray. not tat i have tb and i was vaccinated when i was 15.

so does this mean i have to go get this skin scratch test or can a civil surgeon note that it is not neccersary?

Did they make a note on th I-693 stating the reason they omitted the TST?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

i only have a vaccination document work sheet plus my x ray in a brown envelope. the rest went straight to the embassy i see no notes to the tb and we have not got as far as i-693 yet the x-ra was k1 medical. in uk.

Well, I think the embassy would of said something if there was an issue with your medical (TST).

So - I would just go with what you have, and if they have an issue, you will get an RFE to get the TST.

This is the 2009 CDC list of immunizations. The chart is on page 2. There is a footnote #2 discussing HPV in more detail.

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/wk/mm5753-Immunization.pdf

My fiance did not take a TB skin test. His medical at Knighsbridge was after the new rules you read. He got a green card without a RFE.

Although we went through the process long before this came into effect, my wife only had the chest x-ray. The reason being, depending on how long ago you had the vaccination, you CAN get a positive reaction from the skin test. Danette just went through a medical exam to be hired for a hospital lab and she showed positive on the skin test. She had the vaccination over 18 years ago!!! A chest x-ray was required to verify that she did not have TB. This is actually fairly common knowledge in areas where the vaccine was widely used. This could be one of the exceptions from having the skin test.

thanks for that i might write a note and send copies of all my vaccination records hopefully the bcg will exempt me. :)
