is this the last step before the visa or No?

Hi all , I sent an email to the embassy last week and i got this reply

APRIL 26

Dear Sir :

The case is pending the officer's review. We will contact you once that

is completed to notify you of the next step.

Regards,

Consular staff

i sent many emails and they kept on same answer

then today i asked if the AP is over and they sent this email

Dear sir:

The administrative processing has been completed. The case is pending the officer’s review.

Regards,

Consular staff

Idont know if that this is the last step , i guess officer final review is the last or is this the same?

but how long it normally takes until the visa issuance inshallah?

I think the reason why no one is answering a definite yes or no is that when it comes to Cairo, no one knows! It seems like its probably the last step but you just wont know for sure until the visa is in hand I know its hard but you are just going to have to be patient. Cairo works on its own timetable and its just impossible to predict....

you have to put your case Number in the subject , they always answer same day , or next day .

Still now i got no answer from you , is it the last step or there is final officer review after the officer review????

I guess the officer review its the same like the officer final review .and yeah its the last step before they issue the visa .

I hope this is the last step , Thanks Mohamed , inshallah you will hear good news soon , I dont know why they give people false hopes and false timelines , why don't they say 2 months or 3 months . They kept my passport so I hope it will be soon , I have to go back with my wife before July because she has to go back to college. Its all in God's hands

I know i have been asking and wondering why they just didn't say it will take 4 months ?!!!!

we are adults and we can handle it . but it seems like they like to play the waiting game so bring it on baby we are ready for it LOL .

you can not expect what the clean version of hell (US embassy in Cairo ) will do to you .

I hope they will send the visa soon to you so you can travel with your wife .

we never mind the waiting game , but since you can't predict Cairo , you are always worried and curious about what is going on with your case ,whenever they answer ,they always say whatever they want to and they always ignore your question ,I know officer review doesnt depend on the case , it depends on his mood to work and how many cases he wants to review . BUT it feels better to know that this is the last step , right? better than this endless circle.

How do you know?

Have you read the manual? Better yet, have you ever done their job?

Of course not.

Look, the job they do is very, very important. It's a matter of national security. All of the Is have to be dotted and all of the Ts have to be crossed or somebody isn't going to get a visa. That's just the way it is. Nobody is entitled to a visa. Nobody is entitled to live with their spouse in the United States. Sit back and wait your turn. Really, it will make your life easier.

so the case is pending for the officer's final review??

I do put the case number in the subject line and sent 3 emails in 2 weeks and heard nothing from them. I guess if they can't send an automated reply then they don't send anything at all and force you to get your Congressman involved.
