Had an interview today...

Hey all,

I had my interview today. Don't know what to feel.. I guess everything went well and it was very short. They didnt want to see any additional documents of our relationship, only the wedding photos. And just asked very simple questions. The only question that I'm concerned of is when they asked me when do I attend to arrive to US, I said at the end of august because right now Im still working and my contract isn't ending until that. I don't think the officer liked my answer.. What do you think, could this make any difference for the approval??? Maybe I should have said whenever the visa is issued! I know I should be reliefed but yet still feeling worried.. They only took my passport and said they will inform me if there's something they need from me. So let's hope the best! :whistle:

I don't think you have anything to worry about. You answered with the truth, you will hear from the consulate soon.

I agree with the above posts. Not everyone plans on moving to the US ASAP. Many filers have jobs that require notice, homes to sell and other details to attend to before moving. You will be fine. :thumbs:

Didn't they give you a colored slip? I don't see how that can be a reason for denial. Why would they take your passport unless it's to stamp it with a visa? You're good! :)

Noup, I didnt' get any kind of slip! They just took my passport. And the weird thing was that I wasn't even interviewed in a separate room, just in front of the desk. I saw some people were called to the room and I was totally expecting that. The officer wasn't paying too much interest to my papers what so ever. Just asked briefly some questions and that was it. But I guess consulates are very much different in every country.. Maybe they are more ignorant in Finland :o Heheh.

Don't worry about the slip, my wife wasn't given any slip either after her interview.
