Hi.

I'm sure that this has been asked plenty of times, but I can't seem to find any answers.

I looked at the guides aswell, but that didn't really help me, so i will try to ask you experienced people :)

We got approved for the K-1 visa (noa2) on 13th April 2009, as for now, we haven't heard a thing from anyone.

I assume that it is going to the NVC, but how do we know how far it got? How do we know if they received it or even if they already sended it to the embassy in copenhagen?

Is there some sort of a casenumber, and who do we contact to see how far in the process we are? :)

I know you probably get these questions alot, but i would really appreciate it if you would answer :)

Thank you.

7/31/2008 - Sended I-129F to VSC (lost in mail).

9/24/2008 - Resended I-129F to VSC (*sigh* lost again).

10/30/2008 - Resended again I-129F to VSC.

11/11/2008 - NOA1

03/09/2009 - RFE received

03/11/2009 - Returned RFE

05/23/2009 - Recieved 2nd RFE

08/05/2009 - Denied. Besides that he turns out to be a total jerk. Case ended.

Call NVC 1-603-334-0700...you can use your USCIS case number and the automated system will tell you if they have received your case, if so they will give you the NVC case number. You can also talk to an operator. NVC doesn't have a website to check.

There is a case number, assigned to to your case when it was received by USCIS. Once it reaches NVC, another number gets assigned, by which the respective embassy recognizes your case.

If you are unsure about the whereabouts of your case, you should call NVC and ask about it. They say email is their preferred method of communication (NVCINQUIRY@state.gov), but you can use this number: 603 334-0700, and ask to speak to an operator (just follow the instructions). Their working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 12am (EST). They'll tell you if they have received your case, forwarded it to the embassy or.. if this is what is going on.

Good luck!
