I'm in the process of getting all the necessary documents ready for the NVC before we get our NOA 2. Since it takes about month to obtain and around a month to ship, i'd like to do this now if possible.

Does anyone know the validity for police record in russia from the date it's issued?

I looked on the reciprocity for russia, but it doesn't state anything http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/reciproc...ocity_3656.html

Neither does it mention anything on the american embassy site in moscow http://moscow.usembassy.gov/ivisas_doc.html

I did a search and found one old post mentioning from an unreliable source that it's one year. If anyone knows or could confirm this, i'd greatly appreciate it :)

Thanks

NOA2- 08/03/09

One year. Check this page from the Embassy website http://moscow.usembassy.gov/fiancee.html and look at item 6 under list of documents for fiance interview. Although you are not doing K-1 I believe it is the same. (Note that the embassy includes K-1 as immigrant visa)
