Write out to consulate... Extended waiting?HCM

Hello everyone. Just recently, i've sent a letter to request an update on my case to Ho Chi Minh City and its consulor. It's been a few weeks since I've recieved a response. I'm just wondering how long it typically takes for them to respond to my request. Do I need to resend my request for information again? Or should i just wait another week. Please give me advice. It may not seem like a big deal to some people, but it really does to me. Thank you everyone for your help. -John Nguyen

You must forget it was a HUGE holidays in Saigon this passweekend (30/4 and May Day) on Thursday and Friday. Govt. offices and business were closed for a LONG LONG weekend in years.

I don't know about you but I emailed HCMC all the times, for anything, any question that I might have. Keep them on their toes and keep them going back and check on your file/case. To me, that's a "proof of life" Give me a comfort to know it's not lost yet.

so did you get the interview date yet? How long does it takes them from the day they send the case to HCM and letting you know the date? Congrats on your first journey through NVC.
