Hello Everyone!

Its unbelievable! I have received my 10 year Green Card on mail today! (L)

The strange thing about it is that my husband actually went to the old house which is on sale right now where we used to live before and the Green Card has arrived there. Also the picture on the Green Card is the kind of picture was taken on January 2006 when i was filing the I-751 form and not the picture i brought to the Infopass appointment meeting. The Green Card has arrived from Nebraska not from Denver where my local Service Center is. The thing is that i have a feeling that they have mixed something out and i have afeeling that i am gonna recieve one more 10 Green Card from Denver too as the lady said i willl receive it within a year.We have filed the AR-11 and I-865 Changes of Adresses forms very long time ago and still my Card arrived to the old adress.

Should i maybe call them and let them know that i already received a Green Card and they dont have to make one more ,because even the date on the letter with the Green Card is the date way before my infopass appointment was conducted. :: I still dont understand why should i show up in my local Service Center in the first place?

I am a responsible person and should probably call them and let them know about this situation or just keep quiet and wait and see if a receive one more 10 year Green Card?

Looking for any suggestions!!! :D

Thanks. :hehe:

Sincerely.

1. They told G. his (2-year) green card would arrive within six months and it arrived in about 10 days. I would assume this is *the* green card.

2. Filing the AR-11 does nothing to change your mailing address with USCIS. If you have a case pending at the time you move, you're supposed to write to the DO or service center where your case is pending and tell them to change your address (not that it always works). In other words, if you didn't do that, of course they sent it to your old address, even if you filed the AR-11.

HI! Thanks for your reply. Also the thing is that when my case was pending and we moved to the new adress i have filed the AR-11 and I-865 to the Nebraska Service Center where my application has been processed and also i have filed the one more Ar-11 to the Kentucky where it supposed to be.We have received an acknowledgement on I-865 Sposnsors Change of Adress and it has arrived to the new adress.

We haven't filed anything to Denver. Though ,my Approval Notice for the Removal of Conditions has arrived to the New adress and the new adress has been indicated on the top left corner of the letter and also when i went for the infopass appointment when i gave the approval letter to the lady she asked if thats the adress where my new 10 year Green Card should be mailed to . And i said yes thats the new adress we have moved in recently. But,still it was mailed to the old adress. Aslo i am thinking if we would already sell the old house ,what would happen then? I would probably never find my Green cardI :hehe:

I dont know whats going on ,but i guess its all good anyway!

Thanks.

Sincerely. :)

The GC is not really coming from your local office. I don't think they will send you another one coz it would be showing in the system that the GC has been mailed to you. filing AR-11 & I-865 does not 100% sure that your address in the system had been changed. so you have to follow-up with phone calls to make sure. You're so lucky you're house is still for sale  (Things happened for a reason) Congrats!

Relax.

You need a new hobby. :)

That's your card, there is nothing wrong.

Cards are produced at the Service Center, not the DO.

Addresses are VERY hard to change with USCIS. thank goodness your husband checked the mail.

The photos are nothing to do with it. As long as it is a picture of you, don't worry.

The InfoPass appointment may have been a formality in your case.

If you get a second card (no, you're not going to), post back and we'll all have a good yak over it. :)
