K3 Family Hangout- Week of May 4th

QUESTION FOR ANYONE OUT THERE:

My case was completed at the NVC, we're just waiting for an appt.

What is this about the medical appt...do we have to wait for some form or anything like that for my hubby to get that out of the way????????? I'm not sure in what order this is done, please someone clarify this for me,

Mayra You need to wait for NVC to schedule an interview, once you have an interview date and letter you can go ahead and schedule a medical appointment. Good Luck!

Some MD's will let you go with just the NOA2. You can call whichever one your hubby is going to and ask if they will allow him to have his medical with only a copy of the NOA2 or if they have to have the interview appointment letter. Is that what you are asking?

The packet 3/4 varies by consulate. Some only send out one packet(like ours) Some let you go pick up the packet, some will email the packet 3 but only mail the packet 4.

Packet 3 is the instructions on where to get the medical and a checklist of sorts of what is required.

Packet 4 is usually mailed out after they receive the packet 3 from the applicant. It contains the interview date ect.

Contact ur consulate and they will tell u how to proceed with the medical. On our consulate website we had a list of the panel physicians listed with their phone numbers and email. So hubby emailed one of them and she called him back. But best to wait till u have the appointment letter from NVC.

This is me screaming for Lisa wa Yazied as I couldn't find a screaming smiley other than the silly werewolf girl (but she has negative connotations of VSCHell so I won't use her lol) So here u go, I'll give it my best shot honeybunn:

Hello Everyone....

GS: Interview is in 12 days...

I submitted my documents to VFS today, they returned half the requested paperback (inclu the draft) is that normal?

Queue I did take the Star & stripe lounge facility...

Great to be home and be eating all this great food....Yum Yum Yum...

Yes, VFS seems to only take the important docs, from earlier posts they won't take any of the relationship proof as you have to bring that with you to the interview. The draft should be submitted at the consulate and not at VFS. Anything else of note that they returned to you?

I am ready, theres nothing left to do but take myself to work tomorrow. I am leaving at 3pm even though he isnt landing until midnight lol

Just finishing some laundry now and I'll cook the feast when I get home tomorrow. He asked for fried chicken lol But, i told him i would suprise him with something else. heh heh

Im thinking butter chicken or chicken masala. Or, i might just make spaghetti and meatballs I dunno, I guess i need to figure that out lol

We submit the draft the day of the interview or does it need to be prior to the interview.

They also returned the Aff of support.

HEHE glad I made u giggle Feast yummmmmmmm I now have to start thinking what to prepare that first nite and have not settled yet as I don't really cook But I can prepare a very mean dinner table and the ambiance will be appetizing enough lol I bet u two will end up licking that chicken marsala off of each other anyways b4 that dinner is complete hahahaha I mean come on u haven't seen each other for over a year and u are thinking about dinner lol Ok ok time to shut up (though I could have a field day with all the food, licking and......metaphors lol)

GS - I didn't pay anything for the CR-1 as all of the fees were paid to NVC. Wifey is doing ok, haven't had a chance to show her around NYC yet.

Serendipity - The draft is submitted the day of the interview, they will ask for it as one of the first steps when you enter the consulate for the K-3.

Lisa - The wifey is settling in ok, she is getting used to the surroundings and getting over her serious jet-lag, and getting her setup here, my next objective is getting her SSN.

GS - I didn't pay anything for the CR-1 as all of the fees were paid to NVC. Wifey is doing ok, haven't had a chance to show her around NYC yet.

For a minute I was like who the heck is this new person GM lol Tired and sleepy today, I emailed the consulate to ask them if hubby could enter on Tuesday using his June 17th initial appointment letter from NVC or will he need a revised letter from them and in the back on my mind I was freakin out that they would turn around and say May 12th? What are u talking about? I was paranoid they would turn him away at the door since the letter stated a much later date. So naturally I didn't sleep well awaiting their response. So I'll chalk that one up to sleeplessness...He he if I am disoriented over the last few days left till interview, forgive me lol I am 1000% sure I will be pulling an all-nighter on Tues!
