My husband had his interview on April 21st, which went well. However, his medicals were not complete at that time. The interviewer told him to send an email to the embassy once they were complete requesting another appointment at the embassy at 1pm. I have sent an email and haven't heard anything yet. The interviewer made it sound like it might be difficult to get in touch with someone.....said "keep emailing them until you get an appointment". I also emailed them prior myself for a totally different reason after his interview and I got a response back saying they have no record of his case. Should I wait for an appointment or just have my husband return to the embassy with his medical results as well as the paperwork he was given at his interview??

If he had his interview already, just go back to the embassy and give all the requirements that they need including the result of his medical, why did he need to have an interview appointment again? or maybe his interview was not completed yet? if you are the USC much better if you are the one to call the Embassy to set an appointment if needed, good luck to both of you....

He should go to the embassy and get the appointment . Just like an informaiton visit or to pick up packet 3 and 4.

IF they say after one, he might have an open appointment like my husband had. My husband appointemtn was scheuled on a muslim holiday so the embassy was closed for buisness. AAUUUGGGHH When I called DOS for a new update ont eh case they stated that my husband has an "open" appointment. Sure enough he went on the next opened buisness day and got his approval.

Why didn't you just call me. You know I am here if you need me. Darn it!!!!!! :bonk:

Okay so I called the department of state yesterday to inquire why they have no record of our case in the system. Apparently the interviewer gave my husband the incorrect case number to inquire about. He was given the I130 case number, which is still sitting at the NVC since we interviewed on the I129. I have resent an email to the embassy with the correct case number and hopefully will get a new appointment. My husband is being stubborn and refuses to go to the embassy during the inquiring time until he has some sort of proof he's supposed to be there. He is afraid of being turned away. If anyone has anymore insite to this than me.........PLEASE share!!

If the embassy is not far away from your husband have him go anyway. There is no harm in being turned away from entry into the consulate to get another appointment. Meanwhile you should email the consulate and try to get another appointment.

Good Luck!!

Received the following response back from the embassy:

Thank you for your inquiry. The administrative processing is not yet complete. We will contact you as soon as the admin. processing is complete and schedule an appointment. At the time of your next appointment you should come with the medical examination report. Thank you for your understanding.

We hope this is helpful.

This is sooooo frustrating. I really thought we were almost done and now God only knows how long this process is going to be. They led us to believe that once the medical was complete he would go back to the embassy and that would be it. I guess now this isn't the case at all and I may be looking at up to another year????
