As usual, I have a different take. Interesting how the same cannot be said for views on being gay or certain other rights issue. Then you are a hate-mongering, bigoted, ignorant idiot. But, when it comes to religion, then it's a case of, "are you weak or something?".

Summarized for the average idiot here. On one hand certain groups of people support ridiculing others for their views and beliefs; views they obviously don't support. Yet on the other hand these same people cry bloody murder the second someone simply disagrees with their latest band-wagon issues or views.

I tell you its stupid. This is a movie based on a bestselling book that was out 10 years ago or so... Its been through the bestseller lists and several reprints - whatever damage the CC feels it has done to its reputation has already been done. And only now is there an objection to it - because there's a Tom Hanks movie out in a couple of weeks.

Its a stupid allegation too - what exactly do they think that this movie is going to do? Is it being suggested that this will in itself change or inform people's views on the CC?
