Small Arms Review sponsored the May 1,2,3 show in the York Penna State Fairgrounds Toyota Center, providing 1000 tables for vendors from the mid-atlantic area and across the country. Approximately 350,000 people attended the 3 day event, and approximately $1,600,000 of guns, ammo, and accessories were sold. Even the shooter had a slice of the pie.

Ammo was high, but shooter was selling, so he didn't mind. AR parts kits were high, but shooter was selling, so he didn't mind. NIB beretta 92 were affordable, so mrs shooter didn't mind. Mrs shooter was along to wow the crowd, and the deals were a-flying.

Friends not seen in years stopped to talk, and new friends were made. Despite the off and on rain showers, everybody had a good time. Shooter figgers his house is 700-800 pounds lighter, and his wallet appreciably enlarged, some thanks to the smoking hottness at his side. Too bad she saw the cash coming in, or shooter would have walked out of the place with a nice DLO sterling, too.

A sure sign that someone is either crazy, or completely full of themselves ....... When they begin to refer to themselves in the third person.

Bob Dole is not crazy!

Bob Dole needs to find his pencil

Glad Mr & Mrs Shooter had a profitable time,

I went to the gunshow in town a few weeks ago and scored a nice holster for my CZ, some ammo and a few other odds and ends.

NOw is a good time to be a "Seller"....and when legislation hits the Hill it will be even better. :)

It is certainly a bit strange.

Well I thought understatement is more polite - rather than wheel out a picture of some sort of Wizard of Oz craziness to emphasise how "out there" it really is.

oh yee of little fait, go suck yer sour grapes as the wines are pressed. so yer 401Kerplunks are down, and ammo is the currency of the new millenia. smart folk are getting rich, while ijits are whining.

and no, mrs shooter was not wearing a tee shirt. she has too much class to do that. she was barely wearing a black sweater with a highly risque neckline and denims on Saturday, and a snugly sprayed on white knit top and a pink peasant skirt in floor length on Sunday. prudes and ugly chix just would not understand, but men paid no attention to the stacks of franklins falling from their hands. it's all part of the magic show, folks: watch the pretty lady while the man in the hat makes your greenbacks dissapear...

ammo is high, with 30 nato selling as low as .55 a round (my south african surp) or as high as .80 a round (new DAG surp), 5.56X45 almost as high, and 7.62X39 at $400-$500/K. 7.62X54R was .20 to .35, 8mm was .25-.40, and sporting calibers were the moon. high cap pistols were holding steady, but i got a smoking deal on the '92 from a guy who couldn't keep his eyes on the prize. AR kits were hen's teeth, but i let mine go for $500-$600, and complete AR were 1K$ and up.

I would say a 20-100% increase in the last 6 months.

I remember I could get 7.62 x 39 for $80/case a few years ago. I wasn't smart enough to stock up.
