Hi guys,

After my interview last week I was so upset that I wasn't approved on the spot and the fact is that my husband and I really really do have a great marriage. We were really looking forward to being smiled at and to hear something like " wow, your marriage is proven to be as bona-fide as they come, I hereby stamp thee approved" :D . Well, it didn't turn out that way and our I-485 is pending.

For those of us who thought that the IO was so confused and didn't do their homework, that is far from the truth. They jolly well know exactly what they are doing and are trained to ask "dumb" questions only to see if we are speaking the truth. My IO used my husband's G-325A and asked me questions regarding my address in the US to see if I would be caught off-guard and state that I was living with him before the date I stated. When I answered that I was not in the US in 2003 and told her that it seemed as if she was using my husband's information, she apologized and turned to my G-325 which was located at the top of the file. She repeatedly asked with whom did I stay when I entered the US and the purpose of my visit. I am positive that they know how to read a lease agreement and when she asked me yet again what is my address and I told her she proceeded to say "so whose address is ...(the landlord's address) I told her that it is our landlord's address and she is mixing up the information. People, that is their tactic and they are not unprepared as they lead us to believe. The beauty about all of this is that once you are telling the truth it can never change. A lie has many sides but their is only one side to the truth...THE TRUTH CAN NEVER CHANGE NO MATTER HOW THEY RE-ARRANGE THE QUESTIONS.

Know the seemingly little things about your spouse. I didn't think it was necessary to ask my hubby what his favorite food was until I got my interview date. I knew based on what I saw him eat most or what he desired for dinner more often than other foods. To this date I do not know what his fovorite color is. I guess I should ask him when he wakes up :) . As for me I used to love pink when I was younger but it gradually changed to green and how did I know? I noticed that I chose a lot of green colored clothing.

My husband answered a couple questions incorrectly and even when she prompted him by asking him my birthdate twice.. he got it wrong :( . Now he knows my birthdate but as he is undergoing cancer treatment the medication makes him extremely confused. He knows my birthdate in numbers 12/02/65 but when she asked him he used words... The moment he said December his mind went in a direction of its own and he blurted out with confidence that I was born December 12, 1965. I looked straight at her with my brows quirked and gave the "say what?" look but he didn't even realize. I am sure she did though, . She said December 12? And he said YES, DECEMBER 12 with such assurance and confidence that I am sure she thought I was the one that didn't know my birthdate  My darling was so sure of both incorrect answers he gave, much to my understanding displeasure :o:unsure:

Anyway guys be very prepared and again the IO's are not confused but on the contrary we are the ones being tested, remember they are the interviewing and investigating officers and they watch our body language and listen to what we say. They might appear as if they are not listening much but in a room somewhere are officers watching and listening. I'm still waiting on the verdict. All the best to y'all.

We didn't get a chance to do AOS, Our was approved w/o interview.

I can assure you they know what type of questions to ask, and how to ask them.

I know people in life who play dumb / stupid and just sit there and gather information on things or people for use in the future.
