Interview is Tomorrow

Hi All,

I just found out that I have my interview tomorrow (its Monday here in Australia) so I am off to the consulate on Tuesday!!! I am excited and have all the docs ready. However I was surprised to see that I have to pay another $600AUD or $400 USD - I thought all the fees were paid to the NVC when we paid the IV and AOS bills? Does anyone know about this extra fee?

I am nervous and excited! My hubby is jumping up and down in the US. :dance:

All the should have been paid at NVC. Who told you you have to pay?

Only people that normally pay for I-130 at embassy are DCFs.

Maybe that's only a reminder for people that did not pay their visa fee during NVC.

It was on the checklist that the Consulate sent me. I have to take my passport, one passport photo, an express post envelop and pay $600 AUD or $400 USD.

I really hope that this is an error on their part.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Did u pay your apointment fee already b/c there is a apointment fee for the consulate that can be paid to the visa center are the conslate u r going too, if u already paid u need to contact the visa center and tell them u paid it already ( and if u did pay and the visa center said u did print the payment bar code are recipt out to take with u )

Do you have a copy of the paid IV and AOS bills? bring that with you incase they don't have a record of your payment.

those fees were supposed to be paid at NVC but nevertheless, good luck on the interview

Nothing to worry about

just take the document cover that u printed earlier to show u paid ..may they just dont have records

Good luck Corrine, so you finally made it.

My wife was sent a paper that said we have to pay also . I think that if you have paid as we have it is just a generic letter that covers NVC fillers and DCF filers. I called NVC, I asked on VJ and I asked people that have already been through thier interview every one says the same. If you have paid at the NVC level you are good to go, although that is what the NVC told me, but they also said that I should go with the $400 just in case but that they didnt think I needed it.

Marisols interview is this coming tuesday WOOOO HOOO!!!
