I adopted my filipina stepdaughter and got her a US passport and US citizenship. I'm now trying to officially change her name so she can get a philippine passport in her new surname.

Any one done this or know how to do so?

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

I do think as long as she has a Philippine Birth Certificate and was born there she can get a Philippine Passport.

I went home in the Philippines 9 months ago just to gave birth and my son got his US passport and his Us Certificate of Citizenship and since i did not have time to get my son a Philippine Passport I got his in Washington DC and all i submitted was his NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate.

Also as long as you can present the legal adoption papers she can get a Phil Passport coz she is also considered a Philippine Citizen if she was born in Pinas.

I think it would still follow the regular procedure in changing last name in the philippines. It would requires a lawyer and some hearings. You just need to find a decent lawyer.
