I'm from Utah and my assigned service center was Nebraska so I sent my I-29F there no problems it was received and I got my NOA 1 from the California service center.

Was I reassigned? or am I still being processed in Nebraska? just a little confused.

ALSO.. how fast do the processing times on their website move? They are processing applications received Februay 15 (today is June 27) does this mean it will probably be 4 months until they reach ours??

sorry newb questions trying to read so much still only halfway through sawasdee 2.

You will want to check out the IMBRA forums here. IMBRA is a new law that is slowing down processing temporarily for K visas.

Anyway, to answer your other questions the date they list on the website for processing applications is just a general guideline to follow. They update it every 2 weeks or so, but if you ask people who have been looking at them a while, they are not reliable dates. I highly suggest you do not make any concrete plans based on them.

As for 4 months for your NOA2, that is not a bad guess. It could be alot less, it could be alot more.

Nebraska is currently not processing K1 applications and that is why yours was sent to California. It happened to everyone so do not be worried.

K1 Visa Process long ago and far away...

02/09/06 - NOA1 date

12/17/06 - Married!

AOS Process a fading memory...

01/31/07 - Mailed AOS/EAD package for Olga and Anya

06/01/07 - Green card arrived in mail

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

03/28/09 - Olga did biometrics

05/11/09 - Anya recieved NOA1 (took a call to USCIS to take care of it, oddly, they were helpful)

If it makes you feel any better, which it wont' I submitted ours on April 4th to NSC, and now it was transferred to CSC. My Congressman basically said, we get put to the back of the line and go with the CSC timeline now.

"We had submitted to NSC originally as asked on April 4th, 2006, which was 61 business days ago. That is 96 business days, and almost 133 days, or close to 4.5 months before even the first real action on the case?"

The better thing yet, is that my fiancee is pregnant now (she came on a tourist visa for 2 months, we figured that it wouldn't take longer than that to get some action done), and now she will have to go back home. Way to go government, way to care about the citizens. It would have been quicker to just get married when I was down there and file a I-130 OR just to have had a "spur of the moment" wedding here. This is not a good situation, no wonder people migrate here illegally, those that follow the rules are fools, unfortunately I was taught to do things right. I dont' think we should count on ANY timelines as they are just flips of the coin.

The Federal Government needs to clean up their act, with today's ability to find information, it is absolutely ridiculous that we all sit here and wait, while our paperwork just sits and waits to be looked at and/or entered into the system several months later.

Anyone up for starting a petition of some sort to get noticed? We are all in the same boat and I am sure there are tens of thousands more like us, maybe a little rattle as the mexican people did would get SOMEONE's attention. Form letters to George Bush possibly? I am at my wits end with the waiting and now my baby will have to be born outside the country, which I wonder how long it will take him/her to get in since the wait was out of my control and my paperwork will be outdated by then.

What congressman and when did s/he say this? IL Senator told me NSCS to CSC transfers are not going to bottom of the line - they are being handled in some specialized manner based on RFE return date and original NOA1 date.

It's impossible to know if anyone knows the truth, but curious what your guy's explanation was - did he try to justify how they could put us to the back of the line when we didn't get a new NOA?
