Do we need the partida de bautismo???

Hi guys,

We have our interview next week, May 11.

Thought we were all organized with paperwork, but then I made the mistake of browsing around VJ, which always freaks me out.

My fiance doesn't have a baptismal certificate. I don't remember if he wasn't baptized or if it's not possible to get. (He's out of the country until Wed so I can't ask him at the moment.) When I first asked him about getting it, he just laughed.

Is this crucial?? In the packet from the embassy, it says "suggested". He does have his folio birth certificate. He has never been married. He lived with someone for many years, but they never did a legal marriage. I have read in Colombia Club that this is one of the reasons why the partida is important.

I seriously doubt we have time to get it if if exists or to a notary to do the certificate of non-baptism before next Monday and he can't take any more days off work for this visa stuff. Are we ok?

Thanks Colombia Club...
