After the consulate in amsterdam sent me packet 3, and it never arrived,

until i called last friday, then i received it last saturday...

i did send out the D156 D156K and D230

but we just lost 3 weeks because of the first letter not arriving...

i wont have my I-134's until at least the end of the week

So i cannot send out my checklist until then ...

Thus I wont get my interview date yet

I also still need my medical, because they dont tell me how and where to get that until i send the checklist

and my Approval Notice : Valid Mar 20th 2009 - June 19th 2009

Im afraid its not enough time until the approval notice expires....

my heartrate is doubled, and im paralyzed with fear...

the only thing i could think of, was to post it here...

they can do that ?

Do i have to file any forms for it if they didnt do it yet ?

So youre saying I wouldnt have to re-file the I-129F ?

how certain are you on that , or, can anyone verify this info ?

im just completely upside down and inside out about it.

sorry if i sound confused and stuff.... im just afraid me and Amy wont be able to be together soon,

and we were just gonna spend the first money on planning the ceremony for september 22nd ...

I miss her so much, and cant bare the thought of re-filing or messing up the paperwork process

I don't know if this will help you or not, but...when we received Packet 3 my fiance hemmed and hawed with getting stuff together (relationship issues, blah blah) so after awhile, I just went ahead and faxed the info back and said we had everything we needed and to please schedule the earliest possible interview for us. This of course was untrue--we had nothing ready--but the embassy responded right away (3 hours later) and said they would do so. We've had plenty of time meanwhile to gather everything. And you can't do the medical without the interview appt anyway--you have to bring the appointment letter to the dr and they schedule appt's based on whose interview is first.

I don't want to lead you astray, and maybe our experience has nothing to do with yours, but everything has gone really smoothly so far. We had our interview date in a few weeks, and when it turned out we couldn't make that date (my fiance would have been out of the country), we requested a new date within certain weeks--and they honored that!! (We have our interview in a week!)

So I guess my message is you never know, and give what you think will work for you a shot.

Hope this is helpful.

I have also read several times that embassies routinely extend the validity of the NOA2.

Especially since you have sent in the forms already, it shows that you are actively still pursuing the visa. There is a clear understanding that some of the things they request for the interview may take some time to procure, there is not a general expectation that you have them on hand already! (Most people doing this are not on VJ, so would never know what else they need!)

Please, be at ease on this issue. We are sure that your NOA2 validity will be automatically extended by the embassy. Though I am sure some random person on the internet won't make you believe it, check out your consulate info page on here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...p;cty=Amsterdam

There's a phone number in there and some recommendations for how to get in touch with a live person who can confirm this for you. (Looks like the beneficiary should call). Of course, you'll have to wait until Tuesday as it seems like everyone except the US has a big holiday this weekend!

Yes they can extend the petition approval. Contact the consulate for details, email is a good way typically.

And just to help put your mind at ease a bit more -- We got our NOA2 on January 21st, and we held off on getting all the forms together to send until April. No problems what-so-ever. As far as I'm aware, it's valid for four months, anyway [feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that], so no worries. :)

And, as noted above, if you find that you're running out of time, they'll extend the validity of the approval notice. :)

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

So I'll give you a sec to catch your breath.
