GRRRR---VJ site problems---is it just me?

VJ is the only site that isn't working right for me, so I don't think it's a viral problem. Usually I see someone else post about it tho, and know that it's not just me, but this is Day Two and I just lost a good post!

:ranting:

Is anyone else noticing, should I PM the Cap'n and/or does anyone else have any 'puter tips that I should've done/do? I cleared cookies, cache, history and temps and am off for a reboot right now. Also logged out of the site and back in--no joy.

Grrrrr.

(yabasta, promise I'll get back to you!)

btw, even my first complaining post dropped off. :dead:

dang, if this even posts, it's a miracle.

I haven't had any problems posting. But for some reason my DNS is having trouble resolving www.visajourney.com (multiple retries before successful resolution) but doesn't seem to have similar problems with any other site.

Yes, DNS issues here too.. pages time out & don't load. That is what's happening to my replies. Even this new topic took three tries to get thru.

Wonder what's up with that?

Not all hyperlinks are working from the page either--have to hit open in new window to get it thru (damn, I'm determined.).

I was having them yesterday when I tried to log on at work.

I didn't have time because today I was learning how to make Outlook forms and cursing Bill Gates.

As for all the DNS and whatnot, the only flushing I have been doing is due to the heat wave and subsequent thousands of gallons of water I've been drinking. ;)

heheheh

Just think how pure we'll be when this is all over. Better today already! (the heat, not the site!)

Hopefully Cap'n will have a look at it tonight.

I will look into it. The sad part about being 12 hours time difference than the US is that some nights I am not up late (or up early) and I do not see all the problems in real time.

Update:

The issue was with the internet backbone the servers use. Anyhow, the issues should resolve themselves soon I hope. Thanks for the message to alert me :).

Seems much better already, Ewok. I am still getting a few slow pages that time out.

(just did it again on this reply)
