Our three month window to file I-751 is comming up soon. I just filed to amend our 2006 tax, also haven't received an answer about our 2008 tax...the question is will a copy of 1040 tax form be good enough as prove?

I see your husband is going to have his interview at naples, italy..you may find it helpful to look our timeline and review. my husband had his interview at naples. let me know if you have any questions.

ohh awesome i been looking for someone here thats in the same situation but didnt find anyone yet.. so how did it go did they ask a lot of questions and how long did it take to get your case completed? and did he get the visa the same day?

ohh awesome i been looking for someone here thats in the same situation but didnt find anyone yet.. so how did it go did they ask a lot of questions and how long did it take to get your case completed? and did he get the visa the same day?

look at our timeline. I have a review of the interview also questions asked there.let me know if you have any other questions. I remember how hard it is to find someone that went thru naples. hehehe. and yes he got his visa the same day but he had to stay at naples for 2 days..one for the medical and the 2nd for the interview. it is important he gets a hotel close to the embassey if he doesn t live at naples.

I dont remmember filling I-485. i think that may be for k1 or k3 not ir-cr1

yah he lives close to milan so he is gonna have to fly there and they give the medical results back the same day?

that is the sweet part about cr1..you are set as soon as he enters the usa...he get his green card in the mail within few weeks.my husband lived in Rome, I remmember he took the train,and spend couple of days in naples.

I am happy for you..now for the social card..he has to apply for it at you local social security office. my husband got his within couple of weeks ..the good thing he can start looking for a job as soon as he gets here .that is the reason why people wait longer and file cr1. best of luck

It will be enough just to send the 1040 but send the W2s and 1099s at the same time too, for some reason they are particular about that. Can't you get tax transcripts if an amend request is pending?
