Question about persuing K-3 & CR-1 at seperate Consulates

So, my Canadian husband will have his medical and K-3 interview at the Vancouver consulate. He will join me in the US after that and we are keeping the CR-1 moving too but that has to be at the Montreal consulate. My question is about the medical... I know that normally you get a medical for the CR-1, but since we are getting one in Vancouver for the K-3 visa can we just get an extra copy of that one (what would that cost?) or will we have to get another complete medical just before the Montreal interview?

Has anyone else had their applications processed at two different consulates?

Sorry, but what is your plan? To interview for the K3 in Vancouver THEN interview for the Cr-1 in Montreal? You aren't going to adjust status after the K3 has been issued and he enters the US?

Probably cheaper to continue the CR1 rather than AOS once in the US, if that is still possible. That used to be how the whole process worked, dunno what is expected anymore.

I do think however that a new medical exam is required, (as well as police check btw) but ask the panel physician when you make the appointment for his K3 exam, and double check with the Montreal consulate to be sure. A duplicate copy should only cost you about $40 or so. At least that's what the panel physician in Toronto charged me when I asked for a dupe when I got an RFE during my AOS. $40 is a lot cheaper than having to do it all over again!

Thank you for the info... I am going to email the civil surgeon's office in Vancouver to find out about requesting a duplicate of the medical so we can use it for the Montreal interview too. $40 would be way better than doing it all over again!
