I am a little confused now. I have read a couple of forum discussions that show

people saying the Embassy in Manila does not allow for a Co-Sponsor ?

Is this actually the case or was there just confusion on my part from what I was

reading.

Everything is lining up for my trip over, and the interview is scheduled. I have a

Co-Sponsor who is retired, but has proof of $35K + a year for the past 3 years.

Although they won't have recent pay-stubs, they will have tax returns, and W-2's

showing income.

I can still show them all of mine I qualify completely except the present job part. MY

year to date is $16K. Just confused about whether I really can use a Co-Sponsor for

the Philippine Embassy.

Thanks,

Charles

Seems like Co Sponsored are accepted in Manila.

We have seen some reports of them not being allowed

But from what I have read over the last couple of years.

The General Answer is "Yes" they are allowed.......

It's not year to date income. It's annual income. If you are employed and will earn above the required amount you do no need a cosponsor.
