I was induced because my daughter was 2 weeks late already.

Here's a link sa friendster ko. Dito nakalagay ung CS operation ko. It might be disgusting to some/many of you but I find it amazing!

My doc says that I will be scheduled for repeat CS Dec 28, so as far as birth plans are concerned, i guess that's how it's going to be.

I am terribly frustrated with my health provider's office...her OFFICE and not her. I went to the office after doing urine dipstick tests (which i asked my hubby to swipe from work), having been experiencing pain at the end of urination plus a very "aromatic" urine. The office told me to come in and so I did. They did a dipstick of their own and told me that save for some "teeny-tiny amount of blood", all was normal and that they would send it to the lab for a culture. they said that i did not need any kind of medication because, they INSISTED that my labs were normal. I told them that I had the symptoms but they persisted. And I know that with each day that passes, the risk of the baby getting the infection increases. Urine cultures usually take anywehre from 3-7 days. what am i supposed to do in the mean time? "take lots of fluids", they say. Cranberry juice has given me hyperacidity already and I am definietly NOT comfortable with what I feel everytime I go to the bathroom!!! I swear...they prefer to treat lab results rather than the PATIENT!!!:angry::angry: As an MD, I was told to always use my clinical eye and not always rely on lab tests. Like, pano kung nasa bundok ka na walang laboratory? di ba? These American docs are soooo into technology that they rely on it so much in their decision-making!!!

I consulted a doc who was my Nephrology senior when i was doing my residency and he says that they could've at least given me a mild antibiotic like amoxicillin while awaiting culture results..

I think that my OB is going to have an earful when I go for my next pre-natal in a couple of weeks....

Try to elevate your pillows at night and don't eat too much at suppertime. Ask your doc for a scrip for any antacids. and lay off the acidic and spicy food too. :star:

Congratulations for a new baby :) Ako meron...kung maari mas gusto ko normal delivery. Walang epidural or ano pa man unless it is absolutely necesarry talaga. But im really hoping na everything will be ok:)

Evelyn

same here. I really want natural child birth without any drugs. Epidural is really not a big thing in Philippines unless you're on CS but let us face it our babies has foreign genes and compare to filipino babies, ours are probably bigger  . Personally I am more scared of the thought of episiotomy (surgical cut) on our va-jay2x  than the pain of labor. I'll cross the bridge when I get there.

Lets just pray for our safe labor.

Actually minsan nasa doctor din yon, if hindi nila kaya ng normal, they will do cs even they dont have to.

Episiotomy is not that bad, I had it twice, and the healing period usually takes only 7 up to 10 days.. You just need to sit in a basin warm water and betadine 3 times a day for 10 days to avoid infection, and fucidin antibiotic ointment afterwards..

My doctor was really good, she tried all her best and maybe with my help as well to avoid CS. My first pregnancy, I gave early, 36 months to be exact, it was normal delivery and did not have epidurial, but she did episiotomy.

I gave birth to my second child last February, he was only 8 months, premature but he is 7.9lbs..so they did not put him in NCU as he is fully developed.,

I was scared in my last pregnancy, because I gained a lot weight. I requsted to my doctor, that i dont want to hae CS as the healing process is too long..But then, the doctor advised me to reduce my carbs intake in my 7-8months as I was prone to gestational diabetes. I started to count my carbs intake starting 32 weeks, because the baby was growing fast, and glad to find out that i was negative for diabetes. I broke my water and have mild contraction for 14 hours.. The doctor had to induce me as I was not progressing that time and realized that induce labor was more painful but easy labor.

Try to walk every morning, and avoid eating more carbs, like rice and sweets in the last semester..Carbs will make your baby grows bigger that will make you difficult to deliver.. Madali lang magpalaki ng bata,, it is the way you feed himher and take care of of him/her.

headaches is just normal for other people especially for those who works full time like me.., as you dont really get enough sleep when you are pregnant due to frequent urination.. But I will still consult my doctor as maybe this is connected to your blood pressure, either high or low.
