curious lang ako...pag kinakausap nyo ba baby nyo do you speak tagalog or english?

me, when im alone i talk to him in tagalog and lil english but when my hubby is around i talk in english to my baby.

Pero at least masipag sya mag massage :) tuwing umaga i got feet and back massage.

Ako naman masipag talaga ako magluto way back pa in Pinas. I'm going to eat my rice, pinakbet and adobo( I got it from Pilipino store)

About naman pala sa dialects...I don't talk much English here at home kasi asawa ko gusto nya matuto magtagalog..so I used tagalog all the time.

Thank you very much andrew&evelyn. I will try to find time to post my experiences here. I might have some querries few weeks from now to most of you here guys.

For now, my diet is improving. I am no longer picky to food unlike few weeks ago. I like to munch something every now and then but I just minimized on carbs. Usually, I eat mostly fruits. I am not gaining weight yet. My body built is almost the same when I was not pregnant yet except that my belly is increasing in girth as if I already have stored fats. :)

I cook whatever I feel like cooking...and when I feel like cooking. There are days when sandwiches na lang for supper, minsan sisipagin magluto ng lumpia and pancit (hubby loves these). Tonight, I broiled some burgers and made some mashed potatoes from scratch and corn, topped with sweet, juicy watermelon (my latest craving...despite the fall-like weather). Bukas, wala syang pasok so bahala na sya, hehehe. thankfully, walang pinipiling kainin.

Got a WIC appointment tomorrow morning...sana pumasa.... :innocent:

Kakagutom naman tong topic na to dahil about food.

Mahilig kasi yung magtanong ng "baby, what is the tagalog of ____". One time nanonood kami ng scary movie, then ask nya ako "baby, what is the tagalog of scary" sabi ko "nakakatakot". Then one time, I got mad at our dog so I yelled at our dog. Sabi ng asawa ko "baby, you are nakakatakot" :bonk: lol!

doc gracey, sana makappasa ka sa WIC

alienlovechild, oo marami kang matututunan dito about pregnancy and mommy thingy. mabuti naman at tapos ka na rin sa first tri kasi ang hirap nun eh.

I just wanna share this information I found in USCIS website:

Q7: Are there public benefits that aliens can legally receive without worrying that the INS and State will consider them a public charge?

A7: Yes. Not all publicly funded benefits will be considered by the INS or the State Department in deciding whether someone is or is likely to become a public charge. The focus of public charge is on cash benefits for income maintenance and institutionalization for long-term care at government expense. Examples of benefits that will not be considered for public charge purposes include:

Medicaid and other health insurance and health services (including public assistance for immunizations and for testing and treatment of symptoms of communicable diseases; use of health clinics, prenatal care, etc.) other than support for institutionalization for long-term care

• Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)

Nutrition programs, including Food Stamps, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs, and other supplementary and emergency food assistance programs

• Housing assistance

• Child care services

• Energy assistance, such as the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

• Emergency disaster relief

• Foster care and adoption assistance

• Educational assistance, including benefits under the Head Start Act and aid for elementary, secondary, or higher education

• Job training programs

• In-kind, community-based programs, services, or assistance (such as soup kitchens, crisis counseling and intervention, and short-term shelter).

Note that not all categories of aliens are eligible to receive all of the types of benefits described above.

Spent about 1.5 hours at WIC...got the coupons :) A gallon of milk here at home lasts just a week so this is just enough. Same goes for the juice (we still have 2 gallons of apple juice) and milk. 36 oz of cereal...matutuwa si Alec :) By October, meron na daw pati fruits and veggies...am not a big fan of veggies though.

barenaked...you should eat kahit paunti-unti. Consult your OB about your loss of appetite. Remember that the baby thrives on what you eat. Be conscientious with your pre-natal vits too.

pink...wala rin pinoy resto dito, chinese buffet which serves "pancit" (or its equivalent). Asian store meron from which I get my longganisa, tapa. tocino, daing/tinapang bangus, frozen calamansi, siopao, lucky me pancit canton, toyo, suka (including sukang iloko), and other pinoy delicacies (pati saging na saba), so i don't crave so much.

My wife is six months now.

We can weigh my wife and take her blood pressure and pulse for free. Or we can spend hundreds of dollars for the same thing at a baby factory. Spend half a day doing it, wait in an office where a lot of sick people go.

We have very little respect for the medical industry. The most important thing to do is inform yourself and not put your health in the hands of people who are mostly interested in money.
