I talk to my daughter in Tagalog all the time. My husband wants her to understand and know our language. I told my husband it's okay if she could not speak tagalog but can understand so it'll be easier when we visit Philippines.

I have friends who talk to their babies only in English because their husbands don't want them to talk tagalog. I don't know why, though.

ang hirap kasi i-spell..not like "pink" or "riza" :D

I told my husband to keep his hands off the laundry...alam nyo naman pag lalaki naglaba sa washing machine --- tubig sabay detergent/laundry liquid, ilalagay ang mga damit (eveything) kahit di pa tapos mapuno ng tubig at isasara na at hihintayin matapos, and then pasok lahat sa dryer nang di muna nilaladlad yung damit. Our clothes ended up (very) wrinkled, half of which I had to iron. I do let him carry the laundry basket up to the rooms (washing area is in the basement). Vacuum...kung dito sa ibaba, ako gumagawa. At least once weekly. Otherwise, hinahayaan ko na bitbitin nya yung mabigat na vacuum sa itaas at sya na rin gagawa. Cooking...pag nasa trabaho sya. Pag wala, sya nagluluto. Nagsasawa kasi ako pag ako nagluto.

Getting up from bed.....is a hard task. Lol. Same goes for getting up from this lazyboy. Even turning at night, nagigising ako just to turn. Hubby looks on amused, of course

My daughter does not speak much tagalog but she understands me when I speak to her in tagalog. Hubby does not mind as he wants her to remember her Filipino heritage. As for this upcoming one, she will be taught, too, though not expected to be able to speak it.

I was thinking of talking to my daughter in my dialect (Visayan) too. I would not expect her to be expert in my dialect, but hopefully, maintindihan nya mga kausap nyang mga Bisdak kapag bumisita kami ng Pinas :)

Hi to all mommies and soon mommies-to-be here!

I enjoyed reading all your posted comments here and learning at the same time. I am just lurking in this thread sometimes and lazy to post because I noticed most of the mommies here are already in their late 2nd or in 3rd trimester already. I'm way behind kumbaga...outcast ang beauty ko :). hehehe. I just read the comments of most people here. Thanks for sharing guys.

Congratulations sa mga mommies who just had given birth. Ang cute ni baby Evie! Congrats sa mom and dad!

I just "graduated" from the period of morning sickness and food cravings. Thanks be to God. We are still looking forward on the time (mid October) that we will know the gender of our baby and feel the kick of my baby in my womb. I feel more excited expecting reading your shared stories after you knew the gender of your baby, the first kick of the baby and the fun of buying baby stuff.

I am preparing myself for more discomforts I will experience as my pregnancy progresses. I am learning from your experiences guys on how you cope from all of those inconveniences/discomforts. I experienced already breathing difficulty at night. Using 2 thick pillows alleviate it.
