You can register @ Babies R Us & Target. Don't do the selection online.

I have some things in mind to recommend. I know madami kelangan, but my brain is not functioning well to remember those for now (feeling antok right now) :D Go for onesies, Dr. Brown's bottles, drying rack, brushes (for the bottles), nail clippers, receiving blankets, crib & sheets, rocking chair (sobrang gamit ko to). So far, in 6 days from the day our baby's born, yon ang lagi nagagamit namin. For now, yan lang ang ma-recommend ko, When I remember other things, will surely tell you.

Sino magho-host ng baby shower mo? Will it be your mother-in-law. Part mo lang is to choose baby stuff using the registry.

bmtrrbt, thank you sa input mo, medyo may katigasan kc ulo ko until now di pa me nagpatingin sa OB kc i wanna do it when i reach 9 weeks kc i remember nung nabuntis me noon at 6 weeks na at that time then my ob told me that i'll have my first ultrasound on my 9th week kaya heto wait ko na lang para di me pabalik-balik  kaso nga lang ngaun lagi me dighay ng dighay, bloated lagi, minsan medyo mainit sa throat ko pagka dumighay ako kaya siguro dapat na me magpatingin sa OB. pero never na me nag take ulit ng zantac. I do some research yesterday about it and it says safe naman (daw) from first trimester throughout pregnancy, thta according to their double blind study they conducted to pergnant woman. hey gave birth with a normal baby, medyo nakahinga me ng maluwag but still i won't take any meds anymore w/o docs prescription.

God Bless us all and our babies.

Hi marjo2008, i just went to my first visit last Aug. 21 i was exactly 9 weeks, yun kasi ang advice ng OB ko. Urine, blood test and interview from the nurse palang naman ang ginawa sa akin then on the 26th balik ako for the result and ultrasound na with my OB. Sinabihan lang ako na mag take na ng prenatal vitamins when i first called (6 weeks palang ako nun). Ingat ka lang sa mga medicine na iti take mo, better call your OB first ako kahit masakit ang ulo ko tinutulog ko nalang. When i went to my first visit, they gave me a leaflet kung anong medicine ang safe na i take kapag me masakit sayo, like headache, diarrahea, body pain etc. Goodluck!

thanks po.....we are choosing between target or walmart....(im leaning to target more..hehehehe) kc masyado pong mahal sa babies r us..nakakahiya naman sa mga magbabayad...hehehehehe...thanks for the list po....actually we already have the big ticket item like crib and the glidder...i agree with you po....it really helps me to relax also i bet it will be my best friend pag nanganak na ko....hehehehe...di na rin po namin kailangan ng dresser nakabili na rin po kmi at bassinet........may nabili at mga hand me down na rin po akong naipon na damit.. so i guess feeding bottles and blankets and health stuff na lang kailangan namin...and of course diaper....(i dont mind kahit puro diaper mareceive namin...lol) thanks po....pag nawala na bisa ng anesthesia nyo at may maalala ulit kyo eh sabihin nyo lang po.....hehehe...

opo mother in law ko nag oorganized di ko lang po alam kung andito cya on that day kc she wants to be here when the baby comes...which is on november pa...and ta baby shower will be on september..then she will spend christmas here so shes still deciding when to go.......

I agree with Riza, maganda yung meron kang maraming onesies kasi madali lang gamitin kesa sa ibang klaseng damit. Goodluck!

Dr. Brown's is somewhat pricey, although good in preventing colic. I used the ever-dependable evenflo's with my daughter and she didn't have any problem with it. There's also Playtex Ventaire which does the job well, too. Am going to try these or the Drop-In system (since I have about 9 4-oz bottles for these, and about 250+ drop-in bottles. Yes, it takes care of the air, too. We'll see.

Other stuff needed: Car seat (a definite need), bottle sterilizer/warmer, for winter babies (like mine) fleece or terrycloth sleepers will keep baby toasty...you may want to invest in a car seat/baby carrier cover, too. Diapers, wipes, a good diaper disposal unit (you cannot believe what the little ones' output can smell like...liquid and solid). Baby tub (infant to toddler is nice to have). Onesies, bodysuits...a sleeper gown for non-fussy nightime diaper changes. Receiving blankets/swaddlers (learn how to swaddle...keeps baby calm), bath towels and wash cloths. Oh...while the umbilical stump is healing, you may want to opt for the (traditional) kimono-type top (side-tie or side-snap) to hasten drying of the stump so it heals faster. A crib for when baby grows too big for the bassinet, an extra bassinet sheet. Crib bedding...since you are looking at target or walmart, you may want to get the net-like side bumpers so that baby does not accidentally smother himself/herself when he/she starts moving around the crib as he/she sleeps. Experts do say that the padded ones aren't really necessary. I looked for wearable blankets in place of separate baby blankets...will reserve those when baby is older. Maybe about 4 pairs of mittens are all that is needed...baby needs hands to learn about things around him/her.

Hmm...i may be forgetting something....

A fall baby :)

You are somewhere here on the east coast? Yup, you'll need warm clolthing for your li'l one. Keep in mind that babies have a larger surface area than adults and can lose body heat more easily. Also, they aren't able to regulate their body temperature yet so you will have to keep your baby warm.

Don't get too much clothing for the baby, too (unless you realy want to splurge). Babies grow really quick and can change sizes in a month or less. I did not stock up much on newborn clothing, especially after I was told that this one might be bigger than my daughter. Looked for one size bigger...di bale nang malaki, at least she can grow into it.

Oh..a note on burp cloths, if you happen to see them while making your registry...i used cloth diapers on my daughter and will use them again with this one. More economical, I would think. "Lampin", as we call it.
