te Riza, Congrats!! laki ni baby mo kakatakot nga din kasi sa lahi ng asawa ko, ang lahat ng lalaki ay pinanganak na malalaki. yung asawa ko payatot pero 9.9lbs. nung pinanganak, dad nya 10lbs., mga pamangkin nya nasa 9 or 8 na pinakamababang timbang. Eh paano yan lalaki anak namin so natatakot din ako na baka maCS ako ang wish ko lang eh sana kontrahin ng lahi namin lol! kasi kami nasa 5.5 - 6.5 lang lol!

mga mommies may tanong lang ako kc i'm 7 weeks pregnant now but i did not see my OB/GYNE yet and last week dahil nagka heartburn ako and i have a stocked of zantac 150, i called the 24/7 nurse in blue cross blue shield if how safe to take that zantac and she said it's safe for the baby though she still recommend me to check fiirst with my doctor eh, dahil nga hindi pa ako nagpa set ng appointment a talagang masakit ung heartburn kaya i took the risk of taking it without docs advice . ngaun medyo napraning ako saglit dahil nagpa refill ako ng prenatal vitamins sa CVS and i asked the pharmacist about it and she said the same thing, better consult with ur OB first. waaaahhh, meron ba dito sa inyo nakapag take ng zantac even when u r pregnant?

Oo, Riza, nagmanas ako mga 3 weeks ata un. Ang taba taba mula hita hanggang paa hehehe. Normal lang yun dahil sa tubig na binigay habang naglalabor at nanganak (iv). Yung sakin para talagang puputok ung paa ko sa katabaan. Akala ko nga puputok nako tapos ang kati :-D Ipamasahe mo sa asawa mo, makakatulong yun. Ganun ginawa ko kasi medyo masakit yung tahi ko sa CS.

Basta don't forget to drink prune juice kung sakali na constipated ka. Yung mga gamot kasi nakakatibe

Nagbreastfeeding ka ba? Kung me problema ka, tawag ka sa lactation chuva nila para makatulong sayo kung gusto mo breastfeeding.

Hayy ganon ba. Nag worry talaga ako nito, although sabi ng mga nurses na it will take 2 weeks to have it back to normal. Sana, less than 2 weeks. Ganon din feeling ko gaya ng sayo, parang puputok. It's so tight. So far, ok naman yong incision. Ginamit nila ay parang super glue, hindi tinahi or stapled. They also prescribed me stool softener, so ok lang, plus kumakain ako ng maraming prutas

Yup, I am breastfeeding. Medyo mahirap. Have been pumping since Friday. Today was able to nurse her Sana tuloy2x na. Gumagamit din kami ng formula ngayon. Naku lakas kumain ng baby namin. At napaka strong ng neck. She keeps lifting up her head. She is such a sweet and good baby. Hindi iyakin. Umiiyak lang pag gutom, na wewe or nag popo

Pink - As long as mag dilate ka fully, ok naman siguro. Evie was not born by CS dahil sa laki nya. It was because of the infection kasi pumutok tubig ko na di namalayan, ayon nagka infection, at nag popo sa loob. Heart rate nya di normal so the doctor decided for emergency c-section.

gracey - Galing naman di ka nagmanas...I got up from my bed few hours after the surgery. The next day, pinalakad ako ng short distance, hanggang the next day nag-increase na distance ng walking ko. I am feeling better everyday. Im already doing minor household chores.

when i had my first check up sa ob mga 17 weeks na ako nun...but in your case kasi may nararanasan ka like heartburn so be better kung magtake ka ng kahit anong gamot you should check sa ob mo kung safe ba yun for pregnant women. yung mga pharmacist or nurses di yan sila magbibigay ng info kasi yung doctor lang talaga dapat ang may say about it.

when i had to take med too i asked the pharmacist if it was safe for pregnant and they said the same thing too...to ask my ob...so i called and asked my ob and it was safe.

nung nalaman namin na pregnant ako bumili agad hubby ko ng prenatal vitamins...so when i went to the doctor she prescribed me another prenatal vitamins kasi baka raw sobra yung vitamins sa binili ko na di dapat for the baby...so di ko na iniinom yung binili ng hubby ko...yung binigay na ng doctor ang tinitake ko.

parang feeling ko...yung may baby girls ata ang ma-cs delivery at boys ang mag normal delivery...hehhehehehhe...yehey boy akin so normal delivery akin. hehehhehehehe

bmtrrbt, I don't think na pag baby girl magiging CS ang mother depende sa situition. Kung healthy ang kinakain mo araw-araw at regular ang pag exercise I think na magiging normal ang delivery ng mommy. Most cases ng CS mommies pag complicated ang pregnancy, or like Riza's case na nag ka infection xa or the baby is too big to go through the birth canal. Yung three sisters ko sa Pinas ang bilis nilang nanganak especially yong sister na sinundan ko. Pag nag start yong contraction nya in less than 30 minutes labas na ang baby. Tapos yung eldest nmin na pamangkin nag labor xa ng less than three hrs tapos labas na baby nya. Sana ganon din ako sa kanila... he... he... he... he...

Had some heartburn for a couple of weeks. Referred to the listing of safe meds to take and I took Mylanta (or was it Maalox?). The generic name is aluminum hydroxide which is safe for preggies. And you should start visiting your OB already.

wag naman gusto ko ma experience normal isa lang plano namin waaahhhhh...

pink dipa ko nanganganak pero everyday nag braxton hicks contraction nako lalo na pag gabi hindi nako masyado makatulog. baka anytime lumabas nato nahihirapan ako pag nag muscle tight eh!

Hi Pink! Nawala yung manas ko sa pag inom ng maraming tubig araw araw, saka ipapahinga lagi yung paa, ilagay sa taas ng mga 4 na unan habang nakahiga.

Ganyan ginawa ko kasi kahit na nung buntis pako, manas nako kasi nagtatrabaho ako sa Walgreens, so laging nakatayo 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

bmtrrbt, thank you sa input mo, medyo may katigasan kc ulo ko until now di pa me nagpatingin sa OB kc i wanna do it when i reach 9 weeks kc i remember nung nabuntis me noon at 6 weeks na at that time then my ob told me that i'll have my first ultrasound on my 9th week kaya heto wait ko na lang para di me pabalik-balik kaso nga lang ngaun lagi me dighay ng dighay, bloated lagi, minsan medyo mainit sa throat ko pagka dumighay ako kaya siguro dapat na me magpatingin sa OB. pero never na me nag take ulit ng zantac. I do some research yesterday about it and it says safe naman (daw) from first trimester throughout pregnancy, thta according to their double blind study they conducted to pergnant woman. hey gave birth with a normal baby, medyo nakahinga me ng maluwag but still i won't take any meds anymore w/o docs prescription.

congrats "ate' riza...(naki ate na rin ako..hehehehe....) sa healthy baby and im hoping for your fast recovery..i keep on praying na sana normal ako pag nanaganak kc mahirap talaga..lalo na alang kapamilya dito (fan ako ng ABS CBN...hehehehe) salamat din po sa pag share ng experience....

at sa lahat ng nag she share dito salamat..kc informative talaga at nakakatulong lalo na sa mga first time mom na katulad ko....

anyway...just had my prenatal visist this morning...my doctor adviced me to be careful taking my carbs.....opo bumagsak po ako sa gloucose test ko...hehehehe...just few points lang naman di naman daw masyadong alarming...at makukuha pa ng diet at exercise....naglihi kc ako sa kanin eh...kya sguro biglang tumaas ang sugar ko..hehehehe...anyway im doing good naman....i didnt gain any weight from my last visit....im really watching my diet....

well i need some help po..before i dont have any plans of having a baby shower or a baby registry but pro kinulit ako ng mother in law ko to make one kc pra daw may idea sila kung ano gusto ko for the baby.....so i made one...i thought its that easy..pili ka lang..add ka lang then un na...pro di pla....ngayon ko lang na realized na clueless pla ako kung ano talaga ang kailangan ni baby...ayoko naman ng kung ano ano lang ilagay ko dun...so please....sa mga mommy na nagka baby shower at nag pa baby registry at sa mga mommy to be na may registry na or mag papa registry..can you give me naman po ng some idea or list kung ano ano ang mga nasa registry nyo...kc kung ako lang..pupunuin ko ng diaper un..hehehehe....

Usually, ang tradition ang magbibigay sayo nun ang mga friends/relatives. Sila ang magpaplano ng lahat at para surprise sa new mommy yun. Marami akong kakilalang pilipina na sila nalang mismo nag paplano, so tingin ko ayos na rin un. Ang nagbigay sakin ng baby shower yung mga coworkers ko kaya na surprise talaga ako. Wala naman kasi kaming masyado kakilala dito kaya ang alam ko wala nakong baby shower.

Sorry I didn't check the previous comments from the time I last read this thread. Just want to give everyone a brief update of what happened.

Had an emergency C-section on August 18. Evie was born at 12:12AM on the same date. She weighs 8.4lbs, and she's 20" tall. When we went to the hospital on the night of the 17th, the baby's heart rate was alarming, it ranges from 180 to 200, wherein the normal is 110 to 160. I had an infection and the baby pooped inside. My amniotic fluid had a small rupture (perhaps it indeed started on Sunday when we went to the hospital which unfortunately the lab test turned out negative).

Everything went good, except for the medication's side effects and the recovery. We went home yesterday, and now adjusting to have this beautiful, precious gift we have. With this wonderful experience, I love my husband even more. He's the best daddy and husband in the world! Everything I went through is WORTH IT!!! Hi Riza congratulations, sorry medyo late na ko. I browse all your pictures at medyo natakot naman ako sa pag CS sayo kita ko kasi kung pano nilabas si baby. Malaki nga baby mo parang pwede ng kurutin, hehe. I know you are enjoying being a certified mom with all the puyat and a little more pain but its all worth it. Sigurado mabait yang anak mo kasi Leo sya, halos magkasunod lang kami ng bday hehe. God Bless!
