:-) Sigurado ako, everything will be okay.

Thanks jewellyn...I am not really scared of what you shared, na-appreciate ko pa nga. :) Priority ko talaga health and safety nang baby.

Pwede namin i-cancel ang sched anytime. I am really betting na lumabas sya next week after the Immigration interview.

Talagang willing akong maghintay. May kaibigan din ako nag-suggest na what about diretso CS na lang dahil sa tingin nya malaki baby namin at napakaliit ko. Ewan ko ba. Di pa rin mapalagay.

When I had Alec, they tried to induce labor too. I was about 37-38 weeks then and 1 cm dilated. After about 6 hours, nothing happened and I was sent home the next day. On my next prenatal, i was still 1 cm, but my OB sent me home with admitting orders already. I went into labot at 39-40 weeks...right on time. So...wag ka mainip. Sayang din kasi if you undergo induction tapos walang mangyari. It's just the 14th naman e...you have a lot of leeway still :)

A "stressed" baby is an indication for termination of labor and undergoing CS. Stress can make the baby make poo-poo inside the uterus and can cause trouble for the baby (neonatal/newborn sepsis which is a form of infection, or respiratory distress), hence the immediate need to deliver the baby. Failure of the baby to descend further into the birth canal and effect dilation can be either because the baby is too big to fit into the pelvic inlet (the area on th einside of your pelvic bones) or the inlet is too small to accomodate the baby, or something is preventing the baby to move further down...in my case, it was the double cord coil around the baby's neck, plus my inlet was not big enough (big as my hips are!). Of course, more often than not, once a CS, the next one would be CS, too, but you can opt to try for a normal delivery. I have been given that option but due to my age and not knowing how "strong" my already-operated-on uterine muscles are, i opted to go for another CS and be done with it.

Post-partum depression...a big percentage of post-partum women go thru that. Is usually due to the anxiety of not being able to be a good parent and I think is also hormone-mediated. No real cure for that but a loving partner, a loving family and strong faith. If it goes beyond a few months, though, one should seek professional help. I went thru one big helluva depression that lasted a long, long time. I was a single parent whose partner left soon after the child was born. I kept it to myself. My cousins and friends never knew and they think that I must be that strong to bear all that. I guess I was. Now, I have a wonderful husband who understands and is patient of everything I am going thru and who is just as excited as i am with this new addition. Add to that a wonderful loving daughter who is looking forward to being an "ate" :star:

Hi mga mommies,

Just got my test result...Complete Blood count is normal. Glucose Test is 75..i was a bit scared when I saw the result online kasi yong standard range is <139 mg/dl I thought mababa yata ang sugar ko...so I called my husband to explained to me the result and he said that I'm good :) Sana tama ang asawa ko heehhehe.

Evelyn

Btw Pink---August 25 is my 4d ultrasound :) Excited na ako.

Mga mommies, i got a new message from my DR. Sabi nya my glucose test is ok daw kaso yong Red blood cell ko daw is masyadong mababa ...border line anemic daw so she prescribed me to take Iron supplemet and also stool softer. Di ko maintindihan why I need to take the stool softer? Is it maybe because the Iron supplement make you constipated??

Thanks for sharing your experience and explaining things ryandgracey :) This day has been full of tears and stressful to me because of the dilation development and induction thing. I'm worried that bad things happen because of making wrong decisions specially for the baby. I have faith in God, but human as I am, the fears and worries are still there.

Quite happy for you and your family :)

I just had my monthly visit to my OB yester and I got the Amniocentesis (A test for detecting chromosomal abnormalities and birth defects) result and it is Negative  hay! kahit papaano eh nakahinga na rin ako. Salamat sa lahat ng encouragement and prayers. Need talaga namin prayers. I'm also praying for every preggo here :)

Usap kami ng hubby ko last night and this morning. We decided na i-move namin ang schedule one week after sa due date, instead of one day after the due date. Baka sakali lumabas si Evie before that, which we are hoping and praying. God knows the best for us :)

Another OB appointment on Monday, kakausapin namin ang doktor about the plan. And as usual, IE na naman.

For now, focus muna si me para mag prepare papers for the immigration interview sa Tuesday. :)

In her eyes I see the reflection of what love is all about.

I just had my monthly visit to my OB yester and I got the Amniocentesis (A test for detecting chromosomal abnormalities and birth defects) result and it is Negative  hay! kahit papaano eh nakahinga na rin ako. I know na 60% accurate lang cya pero at least I am happy to hear na 60% na negative na and ofcourse I am still praying na healthy ang baby namin :)

te Riza, sana nga hindi induced labor at kusa na lang lumabas si baby kasi masmaganda yun kung gaano. pero if i am in your situation din eh kakausapin ko din si baby baka sakaling makicooperate hehe. I am praying for your safe delivery :)

Sana ay healthy ang lahat ng mga babies natin and safe delivery to all of us :star:

glad that your amnio is negative. I had a NT and a group of blood tests for that in my 11th week and they all came back normal. They did not recommend amnio, just the 20-week screening UTZ. They did an AFP last month and I have yet to know the results. Grrr...should've told them I want to have the results once available :bonk: Right now, am just looking forward to seeing my active, feisty li'l angel again in about 4 days :)

Sigh...I feel soooo heavy right now (after eating a bowl of my favorite comfort food --- shell macaroni soup)...
