Hi mga Mommies! Today I'm exactly 6 weeks pregnant. Ngayon din ang pang apat ko na pregnancy test by myself since last week (di pa kasi masyadong ma kuntento), ayoko pa sanang i announce dahil gusto ko sa doctor ko mismo manggaling but the doctor want to see me for my first visit on my 8 weeks. He'll be with me naman daw. To tell you honestly mga girls, me halong lungkot at tuwa nung una kong nalaman kasi parang ang aga pa, going to 4 months palang ako dito, di pa fully adjusted at lalo na wala pa kong work. But i realized, this is God's gift so i should be thankful and happy. Also I'm not getting any younger. Goodluck mga mommies and wish me luck as well. I'll keep you posted.... God Bless to all!

Hi Brettanne...not sure if 8 weeks is the standard here. Sa pagkaka-alam ko, as early as possible much better to see a practitioner that way it's easier for them to determine how far you are. Although malaking tulong ang ultrasound to know the baby's age. I personally wanted a female OB/GYN, mabuti na lang dito sa Mesa madami, plus, all the people who work in my medical provider company are females :) Ok naman daw ang male doctor, although, I understand the uneasiness you feel. Yan din reason ko why I prefer not have a male doctor. We're on the same boat when we found out we're having a baby. It was more of a shock to me dahil we plan not to have a baby for a year although di kami nag-iingat :) Mas mabuti ka pa 4 months, ako more than a month lang after the wedding buntis na :D We didn't find out until late December :) Ok lang yon. The baby is absolutely a blessing and something to be so grateful for. Di lahat ng couple nabibiyaya-an ng babies.

Congrats!!!

Thanks Riza, appreciated! Gustong gusto ko na ngang magpatingin just to make sure my baby is in good condition. Actually ang advice sa akin, on my first visit they will be taking lab test, personal interview and etc. then after a week is when i have to see my OB to read my results and all that stuff. Yes kami rin di namin plan na ganito kaaga kasi we wanted to enjoy muna. Though we're married for 19 months already. At least napatunayan ko na di ako baog hehe. You're absolutely right, i have a cousin married for 4 years and they are still having trouble to have a baby kaya naiingit sila sa akin. Congrats din malapit na due date mo. God Bless!

hi,

okay lang yun ako nga 3 months pa lang dito nabuntis na ako kasi dumating ako dito january this year...hehhehehe...and same tayo i took picture of my pregnancy test too and same din clearblue ang ginamit ko hehhehe...i went to my first check up mga 17 weeks na ako kaya yun mga blood tests agad then the next day ultrasound agad ng baby ko and masaya kasi medyo buo na sya and nalaman agad namin na boy ang baby namin. pangalawang beses ko pa ngang check up nung 28th...and blood test ulit...then binigyan din ako ng ob ko ng mga baby magazines and sample na diaper hehhehehhe...ang cute ng diaper pang infant talaga hehhehe...

ganyan din ako dati nung di pa ako nagpapacheck up di ako maconvince na buntis ako...hehehhehe...kasi before bumili kami ng isang pack na clearblue then 5 tests ang nasa pack naubos ko within 3 weeks lang hehheheh nasermonan ako ng hubby ko pero that time di pa ako buntis...yun bumili kami ulit pero my hubby told me not to waste it...then yun gumamit ako ng isa then it turned out pregnant...pero nag try pa rin ako pangalawang beses para sure sure ba...pero di ko na inubos this time kasi masermonan na naman ako ng hubby ko. hehhehe

good thing i have a female ob too kasi first time ko magpatingin sa ehem...kaya parang virgin pa kamo kung bumikaka ako sa harap ng ob ko hehehhehe...

thank you God bless us all.

Ganun ba, di pala ako nag iisa. Iniisip ko lang matatagalan pa nito bago ako makapag work lalo na i want to be hands on to my baby. Pero sabi naman ng hubby ko lagi naman daw me female nurse na assistant whatever test he will do to me. Yes overall ang usong damit dito sa mga baby, me button yon snaps or zipper in front or on the toes para madaling magpalit ng diaper. Hay cguro ang sarap ng mag shopping ng baby clothes no. Just enjoy and God Bless!

Welcome here Brettane and Congratulations :) Kami naman ng hubby ko planned na talaga namin na magkababy so every time na dumating yong bisita ko depress talaga ako. Although after 3 months na nag try nabuntis agad ako. Kahit plano yong pagbubuntis ako sometimes nakakafeel pa rin ako ng lungkot, di ko nga alam eh pero we asked my Dr. sabi nya normal feeling daw yon gawa ng hormones natin. Nothing to worry about it if once in a while nakakafeel kayo ng kalungkutan. About naman sa OB...i prefer females talaga. Sabi ko sa asawa ko siguraduhin nya na babae yong dr ko on my time of delivery at baka di ko magawang bumukaka at umere:D I had my first check up when I was 6 weeks and 6 days pregnant..wala naman yatang standard weeks kung kailan ka nila matingnan pero mas maganda pa rin siguro kung you are in your early weeks :) Pero pwede ka na mag start taking your prenatal vitamins.

And talagang exciting mamili ehehehe kahit medyo magastos.

About the overall baby clothes na pinag-uusapan, they call it "onesies" here. Onesies are not really expensive. Isa pa, pag nag baby shower kayo, I'm sure meron magreregalo sa inyo nyan, specially if you included it in your baby registry. We registered at Babies R Us and Target. We got a lot of baby stuff during my baby shower, nakakatulong talaga sa budget :D We've already setup our nursery room, although meron pa konting kelangan gawin, but 95% ready na.

Budget tips pala to get baby's basic stuff: Craigslist! After the baby shower, my husband and I checked what were the important things that the baby needs na di namin nakuha from the baby shower, then we searched it on Craigslist. We got our baby's changing table for only $20 that perfectly matches our crib. It is in a very good condition and very usable. The person who sold it only used the table for 3 months.

How about people he knows from work, mga wife. I am quite blessed bec. my husband was born and grew up his entire life here, so, meron din friends and family members. The wives of his best friends ang nag host ng baby shower namin including his mother. I was not really thinking about the baby shower kasi naman di uso sa atin yon. But all the idea was theirs at usong-uso dito, so, ganon na nga, nag baby shower kami. Nakatipid talaga. Actually we don't plan to separate the baby from us while she's too small for her own. The nursery room is just for all of her stuff and the time na malaki na siya. We have a bassinet that his parents gave para instead of the crib (which is in her nursery room), yon gagamitin namin to settle her down with us in our bedroom during night time.

Evelyn

Thanks andrew&evelyn, 3 months to go nalang pala mahahawakan mo na baby mo i know that is too exciting. Matagal pa bago ko iisipin about baby shower, medyo uso nga dito yun. Congratulations and God Bless!

Sad to say wala akong baby shower :(( Wala naman kasi akong kakilala dito and so my husband.

Evelyn

Di pala lumaki asawa mo sa place nyo?

Kakalipat lang kasi ng hubby ko dito Sa California when I arrived here.

Evelyn

Andito pala sa AZ mommy nya? Sa'n sa AZ? Layo nga pala ng relatives nya.

Hayyy oo nga, daming cheche-bureche dito :D Sa atin sa bukid ala naman masyado kailangan for the baby. However, kung mas nakakabuti sa baby, mas ok. Swerte nga mga babies natin ano? Halos lahat ng magagandang stuff meron sila. As mommies, yon din naman gusto natin para sa kanila :) So, ok lang as long as the budget allows :D Kami ng husband ko, we welcome any second hand as long as magagamit pa and not hazardous for the baby. But I understand your hubby, para sa baby naman nyo yon eh :)

Today, I am actually starting to pack things that we need to bring to the hospital para ready na in case gusto na lumabas ni Evie. I'm not done yet, hinay-hinay lang :)
