hi all! Today's my birthday, July 15 and we just came all the way straight from the hospital since Monday. A big birthday package came 2 days before my birthday! I GAVE BIRTH TO A 6 lbs. 7 ounces healthy baby boy!!!

Monday at 4 am, I woke up to pee, when I wipe my self off there was a pinkish spotting colored on the tissue paper and as soon as I went back to bed I felt contractions and it continues every other 25 minutes. We went to the hospital at 6am and I was already 2 cm dilated and 100% effaced. I was already leaking some water before I went to shower that morning. Labor started to progress around 8am and contractions was getting stronger. I stick to my plan of not having epidural but they gave me a pain medication to help me relaxed and fall asleep. Around 1:30pm I was already 8 cm dilated and it didn't take long before the pushing started. At 3:51 pm I had my boy! Though he is only 37 weeks and 4 days, he's doing perfectly fine.

para yatang sa 'kin nagmana ang ilong..let's see in a couple of months. my husband and in-laws said he looks a lot like me pero mas fair ang skin complexion compare to mine. i want to breastfeed pero walang masyadong gatas na lumalabas kaya sabi ng lactation consultant sa hospital to go ahead and bottle feed him but keep trying on pumping my breast in the next couple of days.

I had an episiotomy kaya medyo mahirap pa ang paglakad. Most of the nights my hubby take his turn of getting up every other 2 hours to feed him.

Happy birthday to you and your newborn son!!! Bouncing baby boy, eh? At least normal delivery ka and will be able to move around easier than if you had CS.

congrats sweetpink sa new born baby mo...parang combi mo and ng hubby mo ang face ng baby mo...may mga tanong lang ako...

did they circumcise your baby already? kasi sabi ng hubby ko ipapatuli agad daw namin si baby boy namin...gaya ng sa kanya then ganun din sa kuya ko dati sa pinas...

and bakit walang gloves yung baby mo? di ba uso ang pasuotin ng gloves sa kamay si baby para di niya kamutin mukha nya? di ba mataas ang kuko ng baby mo?

yun lang...hehehhehehe

Very cute baby! Congratulations, sweetpink! Ganyan din ako nun, gusto ko sana makuha ung ilong ng asawa ko para d pango, pero nung lumabas si baby pango. hehehe pero nagbago na ng kaunti ang ilong nya, hindi na ganung ka sarat nung lumabas. Basta magbabago pa un kasi ma develop pa mga bones and cartilages nya. :-D

wow! thanks for sharing G's blog . Actually I was about to ask you mommies about this, kung when ba dapat maligo after giving birth? kasi di ba sa atin sa Pinas 1 month pa daw dapat bago maligo. punas punas lang daw, pero di ko alam na chinese tradition pala yun til i read that blog. Kasi di ba dito sa US eh iba sila. naliligo agad sila a day after giving birth. e baka namn pag di ako naligo ng 1 month nito eh layuan ako ng mga tao dito lol! susundin nyo ba ang hindi pagligo ng 1 month?

I will it try this time with my second baby. Noong first baby ko kasi hindi ko pinansin mga bilin ng nanay ko na huwag maligo ng isang buwan kasi summer that time sa pinas at wala namang ac sa bahay namin. Malagkit na katawan ko after 3 days. Naging lamigin ang katawan ko after that at lagi na kong naka-sweater pagbalik ko sa trabaho dahil sobrang lamig ng ac. Ngayong andito na ko sa US at naka-ac naman lagi kami kasi summer so puwede kong i-try at hindi ako masyadong babaho. Ang magiging problema ko lang ay yong aking hair and scalp pero matitiis ko siguro. May puno ng bayabas din dito sa labas ng tinitirhan namin kaya puwede akong maglaga ng dahon. Sa mga kailangan ng dahon ng bayabas, let me know kung kailangan nyo. Padadalhan ko kaya, bayaran nyo na lang yong cost ng priority mail para in 2-3 days matatanggap nyo na.
