Sorry to hear about this. I remember one of the member here had placenta previa before and she is fine and the baby. Maybe she just need a complete bed rest.

For the phone number maybe you can call her family and ask them to go to the hospital and get the number so you can call them. I doubt about the hospital giving them the information about your wife medical reacords unless your the one who call them.

That is our problem, we dont have family to call there. No family. My family is the only family she has.

Just needed the phone number so we could make the request for the records ourselves, but hard trying to find the number for the hospital there. But it probably will be irrelevant anyhow since she will most likely have to have a C-section... But if it were possible to still safely have a vaginal birth we would need the records from that hospital.

As some of you know. My wife Ruchie is now pregnant.... I am checking this thread out for her. I am trying to get her to post here on VJ, especially the All pregnant Mommies Thread. We don't know the exact date when she conceived, but we will find out March 23rd.

Just letting you know that we are lurking in the background and will post when time permits....

RR Napaluha naman ako after kung mabasa blog mo, sobrang emotional kasi ako. But you are in my prayers. Just think positive, lagi mong isipin ang baby mo na naghihintay sayo. I know you will miss him a lot. Be strong and remember God is great.

I went to my OB today for my Group B strep test and found out that I'm 1cm dilated already. I'm only on my 36 weeks and I'm not too happy to hear that since I dont want to give birth too early. Sa tingin nyo ba aabot ako sa due date ko? Todo pakiusap ko sa baby ko na hintayin nya due date nya kasi wala din dito daddy nya at every month lang kung umuwi. Di pa naman ako nakakaramdam ng false contractions.

Good Luck!

Ganun ba, sana nga it will take weeks before ako mag fully dilated, hindi pa kasi ako masyadong ready. Pero sabi nga it still depends on your body. Thank you.

I will add narin that I got denied on my application for Medicaid. :(

At our clinic visit yesterday, we found out the baby is low in the uterus, actually covering the cervix. I looked online and saw this is called "placenta previa". She most likely will have to have a C-section. As the womb expads towards the end of pregnancy, the placenta can pull away from the uterine wall too. There can be bleeding...sometimes a lot, at that time. They try to keep it until the 36th week of pregnancy so that it has a better chance of surviving before doing a C-section. There is a posibility that it wont make it to the 36th week though too, and a C-section will be required before the 36th week, which can be a cause of death for the baby.

If a C-section is not performed, both my wife and baby could die. So, I just pray our baby will hold in there until the 36th week. She can feel it low down in there, heavy. I pray it will move up even a little as the pregnancy progresses.

I need to find the phone number for Morong General Hospital, or Rizal Provincial hospital in the philippines. She had a C-section there, and we need to get the medical records to see what kind of incision was made, but cant find the number on the internet. Anyone have a suggestion of how to find the contact phone number for this hospital? She thinks it used to be called Morong General Hospital, and maybe had its name changed to Rizal Provincial Hospital in Morong. Not certain though. Thanks

Sorry to hear that, just pray that everything will be fine take care both of you...

Maizy had her 2-month check and 1st set of vaccines yesterday :) She is now 12.2 lbs and 23.5 inches tall...doc said she looks like a 4-month old na :) Simply amazed at how well she holds her head up and "stands" on my lap, "jumping" at times. She is in the 90th percentile for weight and height. Maizy showed of by smiling and "talking" to the doc :D She was given DTP, Polio, H. influenza in one thigh and Pneumonia (Prevnar) in another thigh. And oh, how she cried! Lalo when she was given the pneumonia shot kasi the needle was bigger (malapot kasi yung vaccine). She calmed down with a bottle of milk, but she was listless and irritable the whole day. She slept a lot and ate little, which is expected after vaccination. Thankfully, there was no fever; probably just pain hence the irritability. She will go back after 2 months for her 2nd set of shots. No vitamins were given since, according to her doc, "she gets all A's in this check-up".

My wife had her blood test for chances if Downs Syndrome, and the doctor called and said she is normal. We had the option of testing the amniotic fluid, or the blood test to see whether she was "at risk". The doctor advised against the amniotic fluid because it can cause a miscarriage, but recommended the blood test just to put our minds at ease. She said the blood test would be reassuring enough. And so we are happy she tests normal for that at least. It is a VERY active child.

The baby is heavy being so low in her uterus, and that still worries me. We will be very careful these next 4.5.
