Philippine consulate where your state is under. Every consulate has thier own different requirements so I suggest you to visit thier site where the state you live is under.

The basic requirements are:

Report of birth

Marriage Cert.

Accomplished Passport Application for the baby

Passport Data Page of the Filipino Parent/s

hmm...kailangan ba talaga ireport yung birth ng baby ko sa philippines consulate kahit ayaw ko sya maging dual citizen?

and bakit sa phil consul mag apply ng passport?

Ok I think I know of what you mean by the "baby getting a passport in Philippines consul"...

" Can a child born here in the USA still obtain a Philippine Passport? After the 1973 Constitution, if at least one of the child’s biological parents is still a Filipino

citizen at the time of his/her birth, he/she is a Filipino citizen under Philippine

law. He/She may also obtain a Philippine Passport after the parent(s) file a Report of Birth with an accomplished passport application form.

To file a Report of Birth and to apply for the child’s Philippine passport, the following documents are required:

Three (3) original duly accomplished Report of Birth forms and original and three (3) copies of:

The Child’s Birth Certificate

Data pages of the Filipino parent’s Philippine passport

The parents’ Marriage certificate

For Reports of birth filed more than 12 months after the child’s birth, an original and two copies of notarized Affidavit of Delayed Registration must also be submitted.

Accomplished passport application form and two (2) passport size photos

At least one of the Filipino parents and the child must be present at the Consulate when filing the application.

The fee for filing a Report of Birth is $25.00, in addition to the passport application fee."

http://www.philippineconsulate-sf.org/passport.htm#12

so, I guess we can both file for Philippines and US passports for our babies, am I right? but still my previous question hasn't been answered yet, WILL THIS MEANS THAT THE BABY HAS AUTOMATIC DUAL CITIZENSHIP?

I think he/she is alreadya based on my understanding. The report is needed only if you wanted to get him/her a Philippine Passport. And yes we can file both for US and Philippine Passport.

i use playtex drop-ins. so, the only things that get washed/sterilized are the nipples, rings and caps. meron ding store-brand na parent's choice that is cheaper than playtex.

oh i think kaya walang bula sa iyo because you use playtex...hehehehehehe...

can you tell me ano ba yan and how it works? and magkano rin? kasi baka il try that...

Just found an info sa website ng Los Angeles consulate. Seems like kailangan mag-submit ng required documents sa Immigration Commissioner para ma-recognize ang baby na Filipino citizen.

---------------------------------------------------

Recognition as a Filipino Citizen

Under the Bureau of Immigration's Law Instruction No. RBR-99002, issued on 15 April 1999, any child born of a Filipino parent may be recognized as a Filipino citizen under existing laws. The following documents are to be submitted to the Commissioner of Immigration:

1. Petition, in the form of a letter-request, made under oath by the Filipino parent or legally appointed guardian. A person who is 18 years old must apply in his/her own capacity.

In default of parents or a judicially appointed guardian, the following presons shall exercise substitute parental authority over the child in the order indicated:

1. the surviving grandparent as provided in Article 214 of the Family Code;

2. the oldest brother or sister over 21 years of age, unless unfit or disqualified; and

3. the child's actual custodian, over 21 years of age, unless unfit or disqualified;

In case the letter-request is made by a person on behalf of any of the parents, the legally appointed guardian, or persons exercising substitute parental authority, he or she must be duly authorized through a power of attorney to file such petition.

2. Authenticated birth certificate of the child

3. Birth certificate of the Filipino parent

4. Affidavit of Citizenship executred by the applicant's Filipino parent attesting to his/her citizenship at the time of the birth of the child

5. Photocopy of the child's passport, if he/she has one

6. Photocopy of the Filipino parent's passport, if he/she has one

7. Proof of Filipino citizenship of a parent at the time of birth of the child other than the parent's passport or the child's passport

All documents issued by the foreign governments and those executed in a foreign country shall be duly authenticated by the authorized officer of the Philippine Embassy or Consulate that has jurisdiction over them.

Communications, statements, or documents executed in a language other than English or Filipino should be officially translated under the seal of the authorized officer of the appropriate foreign embassy.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 292, the Bureau of Immigration, through its Records Section, will automatically furnish the Department of Justice an official copy of its Order of Recognition within 12 days from its date of approval. Identification Certificates shall be issued only after confirmation by the Secretary of Justice.

------------------------------------

Would want my baby to have dual citizenship. Isa pa, para wala syang problema to go in and out sa Pinas, kasi pag foreigner ka limited ang time na maka-stay sa Pinas. Plus, if she may want to work sa Pilipinas wala ng sagabal sa Immigration.

hmm...for me kung alam ko lang yung mga formula before eh nag enfamil na ako hehehehehe...kasi nung umuwi kami galing hospital after kung manganak isa lang talaga sample namin it was similac advance binigay yun ng clinic kung saan ako naga ultrasound...so yun ang ginamit namin for our baby...then nung nag first check up sya sa pedia she asked me how many times my baby poop i said once a day so she gave me similac sensitive...so akala ko my baby will poop na maybe mga more than once a day since easy to digest ang similac sensitive but then i was wrong di na tuloy sya nagpoop ng how many days...as of now every 4 days ang baby ko magpoop pero hindi matigas poop nya yung normal poop ng baby...i was thinking maybe kulang ang kain nya kasi nakaka 24 oz lang sya a day, or dahil sa formula or ganun lang talaga baby ko or dahil mix sya breastmilk and formula kaya di sya makapoop everyday...

Btw, when preparing baby's formula, di namin sini-shake dahil it creates bubbles. I read na it could cause the baby to be gassy. Ang ginawa namin eh, mag-iinit kami ng tubig at least 3 oz (since 5 oz na ang kino-consume nya) sa microwave for 20 seconds. Instead of shaking we stir the mixture gamit ang kutsara.
