Maizy turned a month old today (oh where has the time gone???). She is now 9.11 lbs (8 lbs 6 oz at birth, 7.49 lbs on discharge) and 22 inches tall (21 inches at birth) She is definitely not as "good" a baby as her Ate was...I swear, she is developing her personality (and an attitude to boot!)

This was taken during one of her "quiet", "good li'l girl" times. Sorry for the dim lighting...she is much fairer than she appears

Shiela, if you are really willing to breastfeed eh i-try mo yung herbal tea na Organic Mother's Milk. Nakakapagpagatas daw yang tea na yan. I didn't try it kasi hindi ako mahilig sa hot tea. Binigyan ako ng sample ng tea na yan na galing sa hospital. According sa WIC meron din daw pills that will help you produce milk pero you need prescription sa doc.

Hello mga mommies..

my appointment ako ulit sa Dr. sa baby.. kasi balik daw after 1 week. which is JAN 29

ask ko sana anong mga vaccines ang eh give sa baby??

wala bang vitamins?? ano ung pwde kung eh ask sa DR nya??

Nag start na ako breatfeed kaso pump ko lang sya kasi d sya syado dede sa suso ko..

naka 1oz me kanina.. plus formula nya na 2 oz.. lakas kasi sya dede eh.. kaya ni increase ko ang formula

pwde ba un??

then every 2-3 hrs ko sya pa dede..

minsan parang kulang pa sa kanya ang 3 oz.. pero matakot na ako dagdagan kasi nga baka ma overfeed ko.

pa ano ko pa malaman na yaw nya na.. minsan sak2x ko nalang pacifier,, tama ba itong ginagawa ko??

nung nag start akong magtimpla ng formula i started with 2 0z pero nung sumunod na eh 4 0z na kasi ganun din naman dalawang bottle ng 2 0z dalawang huhugasan kaya yun 4 oz na tinitimpla ko...

wag kang matakot na pakainin baby mo...pag busog na yan makukuntento yan at makakatulog...kasi baby ko niluluwa na nya yung bottle kung ayaw nya ng dumede...kumbaga wag ka masyadong maging worry wart sa ginagawa mo sa baby mo para maisip mo kung anong dapat mong gawin...kasi first time mom ka naman kaya of course may times na magkakamali ka and by that you will learn...ganun lang yan...just relax take a chill pill hehehehehe...

Had my baby's first doctors appointment this morning. Yipey!!!She gained weight in weeks time. Nag-alala talaga ako nung nasa ospital pa kami kasi bumaba timbang niya pero sabi nila eh normal lang daw yun sa mga new born baby's. Hay halos maiyak ako nung malaman kung bumaba timbang ng baby ko..Hay ang pagiging ina talaga..Pero kanina, ayun naggain na siya ng weight. Naimpress nga doctor niya kasi very unusual daw sa baby na maggain agad ng weight. Hay we are happy kasi our baby is very healthy and very active. Natanggal na din yung umbilical cord niya..Her next appointment will be 2 months from now..Hay..

Ganito pala ang pagiging ina. Halos hindi ka mapakali lalo na sa gabi, I'm so worried na baka mabulunan or kung anu ano pa yung mga iniisip ko..Lagi ding puyat pero inienjoy ko naman. Ala sa akin yung maya't maya eh babangon ka para magpadede or magpalit ng diaper..Hay kahit anung pagod eh sulit agad kapag nginitian ka ng anak mo.

Kamustas mga mommies? Anu ng update sa mga baby niyo. Sana everything is okay.

oo nga sagabal nga yung cord...kaya i was happy too nung natanggal na...

are you breastfeeding or formula? ano naman milk ng baby mo? kasi may coupon akong natanggap sa safeway kagabi...it was buy one take one enfamil gentlease lipil na formula 12.9 oz...sayang nga at di enfamil ang gatas ng baby ko pero nakatulong din yung 5 dollars off na coupon ko sa similac...kagabi nung bumili kami nag try ako na buksan yung mga 12.9oz na similac kung may coupon ba hahahahha...pero wala akong nakita hehehehehe...

may tanong lang ako sa mga mommies...yung mga hubby nyo ba eh malaki ang pasensya sa babies ninyo? kasi hubby ko natural na yung pagiging impatient nya...pagdating sa baby ganun din sya...pag umiiyak baby ko and di nya mafigure out ano ang gusto ng baby namin eh nilalagay nya and he will say okay cry all you want...then sinasabi nya sa akin see he has colic already...nagsisi nga ako bat tinuruan ko sya about sa colic pinakita ko ang youtube video about baby with colic na iyak ng iyak thats why he learn about colic...and simple lang gusto ng baby ko he just wants to eat or change diaper or ilagay kasi ayaw rin ng baby ko na matagal syang kinakarga...kasi hubby ko he will just keep on carrying him and talking to our baby saying whats wrong with you, hey stop it you big baby,,,etc etc.. so sinabi ko sa kanya our baby is so easy to please you just need to understand what he wants...minsan natatawa na lang ako kasi halatang he is trying hard to be patient pero yun napuputol talaga ang pisi nya...actually almost two months na baby ko siguro second time pa nya today na nagchange ng diaper sa baby namin. kakalerky noh...

and about sa bottle...actually yung feeding bottle ng baby ko is very cheap yung regular feeding bottle lang kasi for me why spend so much about it...it makes no difference...so one day i ask my hubby to buy more bottle kasi nga nakakapagod hugas agad kasi nagagamit halos lahat yung bottle kasi 6 ang bottles nya...so he knew about colic from me kaya nashock ako at bumili sya ng tag 15 dollar na gerber...tapos di ko masyadong ginagamit kasi ayaw naman ng baby ko kasi yung nipple di sya sanay and sobrang malakas ang tulo so my hubby always tell me oh i guess you want colic too bad baby mommy wants you to have colic hmm hmm...do you think it makes a big difference kung yung pang colic free na bottle ang ipadede kay baby?

My wife's vomitting stopped since January 13. We tried everything to get it to stop, and then got a safe nausea pill at her check-up too. Now for 4 days she hasnt used the nausea pill and she still is ok. She is 13 weeks 5 days now. Taking vitamins now nightly too with no more complaints or problems. I bring her a vitamin each night to her in bed, with the pill covered in a spoonful of fruit yogurt, and a few more bights of that to eat after, along with hot water to drink. Still take precautions when waking in the morning, having her lay upright at a 45 degree angle for 30 minutes while I bring her a piece of dry toast to eat and then fix her breakfast. Her appetite is good now, and she eats well.

She wasnt liking to eat most vegetables, and so I tried a couple things. Carnation chocolate instant breakfast drink which she drinks right down, as a snack late each afternoon. And also soups. I made her home made cream of broccoli soup, and she loves it, and the broccoli is so good for her! Also she loves cream of celery soup too now. We will continue with the soup thing for the vegetables.

For getting her to eat fruits, I simply asked her what her favorite fruits would be, and the ones of those which wouldnt upset her stomach. So for breakfast each day I fix her a plate of sliced kiwi, and slices of banana, to eat along with her oatmeal and sometimes eggs. She will drink cranberry juice too. At lunch and at night she eats fresh cantalope now, and I bought her honeydew melon which she eats, and she likes all that.

Her tummy is showing some now, but still very little here at almost 14 weeks. I am expecting her to show more soon at around 15 weeks.... Is that about right?

Her bleeding after intercourse and spotting has also stopped now. The baby has a strong heartbeat, and all is well as of our last check-up. She is more rested, and seems much happier now. She takes a nap each day, usually a couple hours after waking up in the morning.

Pink-sana nalaman ko yang mga tea na yan before. Sayang....gusto ko pa naman sana mag breastfeed. Ewan ko ba siguro sa pagod ko that time na everytime mag pumped ako na walang nalabas eh nawalan na ako na pag-asa nag magkaroon pa ako ng gatas. Musta na pala sa Zachy boy? Musta na ang kidney nya?

Ady- wow bilis naman natanggal ng cord ni baby and naka dress na sya talaga hehehe.

Shiela-sabi nga nila dito wag masyado mag worry....pero sa tingin ko ang lakas nga dumede ng baby mo. When I remember right..si Jacob noon di nya nauubos yong 2 0z per feeding. Now that he is almost 4 months old mga 3-4 0z lang yong nadede nya.

RR-napansin ko yong damit ng baby mo dito sa signature mo meron ding ganyan si Jacob...hayyy kaso di nakasya sa kanya kaya hayun naka box na. Ang bilis nilang lumaki.

About naman sa bottle..sa tingin ko it makes difference nga kung colic free yong bottle. Kasi eversince I never encounter na talagang umiyak ng umiyak si Jacob dahil may colic. Yong gamit pala namin na bottle is Dr. Brown bale 3 pcs is $13 medyo mahal nga pero maganda naman yong quality tsaka most importantly colic free sya. Bale 6 bottles lang yong binili namin sa kanya so bale I washed his bottles 2 times a day sa umaga at gabi.

About hubby naman being impatient? hmmmmm...hindi naman he is really good in changing diaper lalo na pag nag popo si Jacob sya talaga taga palit. And nong di pa hilom yong toytoy nya tsaka pusod sya din taga palit. Mas magaling sya sakin mag palit ng diaper hehehe. Ewan ko ha kasi di talaga iyakin si Jacob eh( knock on the wood) kaya di ko pa nasusukat yong haba ng pisi nya hehehhe...

RR, sheila and Pink - thank you. sabi nga ng sister ko, pisngi daw na tinubuan ng mukha sometimes she looks like hubby, sometimes like me. I think she is going thru a growth spurt right now kasi biglang lakas nya dumedede, both sa bottle and sa akin. Punong-puno yung breasts ko kagabi and inubos nya at dinig na dinig yung pag-inom at paglunok nya but gutom pa sya after.

About sa pasensya ng hubby, hay...Hubby is very patient with her crying. He likes holding her; minsan, tulog sya na hawak ko o kaya nasa bassinet pero kukunin nya pa rin, lalo when he comes home from work. He tries to figure out why she is crying, at walang pero-pero ang pag palit ng diaper pag kelangan. He doesn't like Pampers Swaddlers that much kasi walang indicator, unlike Huggies Snugglers. Nga lang, basta makta nya na nagpapalit na yung color ng indicator e palit kaagad. Di pa nga mabasa yung type ng iyak ni Maizy, unlike me. Iba talaga siguro pag ina

Bottles..Maizy uses Playtex Drop-ins most times; sometimes yung Soothie bottles. The nipples of the Drop-Ins are much softer than most other nipples at ka-korte ng breast. But she really has no preference...basta may gatas na lalabas The drop-in system, the disposable bags collapse onto itself during feeding kaya walang air talaga. I found Parents Choice na disposable bags that are much cheaper than the Playtex ones, so ok na rin.

Breastfeeding ako RR. Di ako gumagamit ng formula pero thank sa offer sa coupon..Hehehehe..Purely breastfeed talaga baby ko. Minsan kapag hindi ko kaya ang sakit eh nagpapump ako para makapahinga ng konti tapos dede nanaman ulit sa akin.

About kay hubby, super patient pero ala naman kaming problema na naencounter ky baby so far kasi umiiyak lang ito kapag kailangan ng palitan ang diaper niya at gutom. Ang routine talaga niya kapag gumising eh palit agad ng diaper at magdede, after nun eh balik sa tulog nanaman. Ganun lang palagi kaya di kami nahihirapan mag-asawa..Hehehehe..Tsaka si hubby eh nag-eenjoy naman sa pagpapalit ng diaper, mas gusto nga ng anak namin kapag siya ang gumagawa..lol..advantage on my part. :rofl:

Hello happy..Dito sa mga questions mo:

1. Yep! ganun din ako when I was pregnant. As in dilat ang mata hanggang madaling araw lalo pa't grabe yung naexperience ko with morning sickness.

2. Oo utot ka talaga ng utot

3. Ala naman akong narinig about sa kasabihan nato. As soon as nalaman namin na buntis ako eh sinabihan na namin yung mga kamag-anak at mga kaibigan agad tsaka di talaga ako naniniwala sa mga pamahiin..hehehehe

4. Eh dito sa tanung mong ito eh hindi ako medyo makarelate. Kasi nung buntis ako eh halos hindi mahalata na buntis ako..lol..Medyo nahalata nalang yung tyan ko around 7 months pero hindi talaga as in..Hehehehe..

No problem sis..Sana maging okay lang yung 1st trimister mo. Sana wag kang matulad sa akin na sobrang grabe yung naranasan ko during may 1st trimister kasi dalawang beses akong naospital dahil lang sa sobrang pagsusuka. Nadehydrate ako ng sobra. Sa akin noon eh hindi talaga ako nakakakain kahit nga tubig hindi tinatanggap ng sikmura ko..hay..

I wish you good luck on your pregnancy sis..Isa ka siguro sa mga gifted na halata na ang tummy at an early stage of pregnancy. Ako noon eh hindi mo mahahalata na buntis ko. Napansin nalang nung 7 months pregnant na ako..Hehehehe..
