:star:

anyways, mga mommies, i have a few questions...

1.) i have read on the internet that having trouble sleeping at night is normal during (early) pregnancy...kaso, halos hindi ako makatulog every night even after having a glass of hot milk (as suggested), im having to force myself to sleep...any suggestion?

2.) i have been noticing lately, that my stomach (yes my tummy) farts a lot  (excuse me mommies)...this never happened to me before, just now that im pregnant...is it normal?

3.) according to what i've read on the internet (again) bout american's "kasabihan", how true that telling people about your pregnancy inside the first trimester is bad luck?

4th and last question (for now lol)...magsi-6 weeks pa lang ang tiyan ko pero medyo halata na siya and i can feel that my jeans/bottom pajamas are getting tight...ganun din ba kayo nung 6 weeks niyo? minsan tuloy naiisip namin ng asawa ko na baka kambal ang pinagbubuntis ko. :star:

thanks in advance mommies!

You may discuss it to your doctor regarding the proper breastfeeding, use of the pacifier and breast pump so she can guide you.

Hi Sheila!

These are the signs of breastfeeding that it is going well and you don't need to worry:

- Breastfeed at least 8 times in 24 hrs

- begins to gain weight after day 5 and back to birthweight by 2 weeks

- baby gains 4- 8 oz each week after the first week

- 3 - 4 yellow stools every day by day 5 and for the first month

- 6 or more wet diapers per day after day 5

- hear or see your baby swallow

- content after feeds

Your baby will probably want to nurse 8 to 12 times a day at first. For the first few weeks it's best to feed on "cue", when baby shows signs of hunger, such as licking the lips, sucking on a fist or crying. Use the pacifier only when the baby is 1 month or older during nap or bedtime but not as a replacement for brestfeeding.

It can be difficult to be certain that baby is getting enough milk. Bowel movements and the number of wet diapers per day can reassure you that baby's nutritional needs are being met.

If possible just give your baby breastmilk and don't mix it with formula specially if your baby is less than 1 month old. The more you nurse your baby, the more your breasts will produce more milk for your baby. Breastmilk is still the best. Good luck!

Hello happy..Dito sa mga questions mo:

1. Yep! ganun din ako when I was pregnant. As in dilat ang mata hanggang madaling araw lalo pa't grabe yung naexperience ko with morning sickness.

2. Oo utot ka talaga ng utot

3. Ala naman akong narinig about sa kasabihan nato. As soon as nalaman namin na buntis ako eh sinabihan na namin yung mga kamag-anak at mga kaibigan agad tsaka di talaga ako naniniwala sa mga pamahiin..hehehehe

Good luck sa pagbubuntis mo..

Had my baby's first doctors appointment this morning. Yipey!!!She gained weight in weeks time. Hay we are happy kasi our baby is very healthy and very active. Natanggal na din yung umbilical cord niya..Her next appointment will be 2 months from now..Hay..

Sana everything is okay.

1. Well I didnt had any trouble sleeping on my first trimester, it just started on my 2nd and last trimester. Avoid drinks with caffeine, ako never talaga akong uminom ng me caffeine pero di parin ako makatulog.

Its better to tell your immediate family first before anybody else.

4. Malalaman mo yan kung twin on your first doctor's visit thru transvaginal ultrasound.

Goodluck....you have a long way to go, more experience and later pains hehe.

thank u so much,. by the way d talaga ako breastfeeding kasi nga wala syado naga labas na milk sa aking suso

cguro ma bigyan ko lang nga talaga sya ng breastmilk 2 times a day.. the rest is formunla.

nag increase ako ng formula now 2oz -3 oz.. feed ko sya after 2-3 hrs.

naga popo sya once a day.. color yellow pero sobrang dami naman..

ok...

Maizy turned a month old today (oh where has the time gone???). She is now 9.11 lbs (8 lbs 6 oz at birth, 7.49 lbs on discharge) and 22 inches tall (21 inches at birth) She is definitely not as "good" a baby as her Ate was...I swear, she is developing her personality (and an attitude to boot!)

This was taken during one of her "quiet", "good li'l girl" times. Sorry for the dim lighting...she is much fairer than she appears :star:

you may want to speak to a lactation consultant. again...the more you breastfeed (or pump), the more milk you'll produce. also, drink plenty of fluids daily. At first konti lang talaga ma-pump mo.

Shiela, if you are really willing to breastfeed eh i-try mo yung herbal tea na Organic Mother's Milk. Nakakapagpagatas daw yang tea na yan. I didn't try it kasi hindi ako mahilig sa hot tea. According sa WIC meron din daw pills that will help you produce milk pero you need prescription sa doc.

Shiela, if you are really willing to breastfeed eh i-try mo yung herbal tea na Organic Mother's Milk. Nakakapagpagatas daw yang tea na yan. I didn't try it kasi hindi ako mahilig sa hot tea. According sa WIC meron din daw pills that will help you produce milk pero you need prescription sa doc.

hay...time flies talaga... i miss her "newborness" (save for the puyat, though)

my mom sent me Prolacta (malunggay) capsules :star:
