Oh nothing wrong with the second hands. As long as pwede pa magamit why not.

Goodwill is a nice place to go to. Got a diaper genie with two rolls of liners there for under $5 :) You may want to check out the Once-Upon-A-Child nearest to you, too for maternity stuff and baby items. There are a lot! some items are new (i.e. bottle brushes, baby positioners, diaper bags, strollers and carseats). They look nicer than those at goodwill. Maternity bottoms are from $6.50 to $10, i think. I plan on getting some in a week or so. Apparently, having a child the second time around makes you "look" pregnant earlier than the first pregnancy (I did not wear maternity clothing till i was in my 5th-6th month!). When I am done with them, I plan to either put them in an ad in craigslist or give/sell them back to once-upon-a-child. Will also do some "shopping" at my cousin's house in chicago next month :)

Brand new onesies (the usual newborn baby clothes) are like $10 for a pack of 5 (size 0-3), Gerber brand. 4-oz Avent bottles are also like $10 per bottle. 4-oz Soothie bottles are $10 for a 3-pack. A bottle warmer is like $30. Dishwasher container for nipples, caps, bottle collars should be not more than $3 (Munchkin brand). Pampers for newborns is about $40 for a pack of 264 (at Sam's club). Blankets are about $10 apiece. Brand new crib is anywhere bet $160-900, depending on how arte you want to be. Hay, naku...mas mahal talaga. E, my daughter's brand-new crib cost less than Php3T.

my hubby told me we wont buy many clothes kasi lalaki rin daw agad ang baby and if we will buy we will get the unisex clothes so i can keep it for the next baby...hehehhehe.

yup! economical, di ba? and very filipino :) sabi nila mas magiging malapit daw ang magkapatid/magkamaganak pag nagpasahan ng damit habang bata pa. the same goes with shoes...not very practical to buy expensive shoes when kids change shoe size 2-3 times in a year.

It's economically wise to buy a convertible crib ( can be converted to toddler and full size bed later on). We got ours for $299 but it's worth every single penny cause it's sturdy and nice plus it was on sale when we bought it at JC Penny. Sometimes it's also good to wait for stores to be on sale before getting crazy to buy baby stuff.

Hi mommy gracey. thanks for sharing that OUAC store. I agree  dapat maging praktikal na lang din sa panahon ngayon specially na mabilis nga lumaki din ang mga babies. One time I went to rummage sale with my pinay friend and I was able to buy a brand new Kenneth Nicole baby diaper bag for only $5 :D At first akala ko big purse lang cya kaya I wanna buy it saka isa pa eh color pink cya lol! pero nung in-open ng friend ko eh diaper bag pala kaya ayun hindi ko na cya binitawan :D tas nakabili din ako ng baby monitor for only $1 tas 3 pa yung prang radio nya kaya tuwa tlga ako.

I can't see nothing wrong naman sa mga hand me down na damit eh lalo na kung mukha pa cyang bago at malinis naman db? Yung iba ngang pinaglumaan ding mga damit ng pamangkin ng asawa ko eh mapupunta rin sa baby nmin and some baby stuff :) Pero my husband wants to buy new stuff din naman for our first baby like the crib, high chair etc. Kasi sabi nya first baby daw at isa pa eh magagamit din daw ng 2nd baby namin yun mga yun kaya ok lng daw ( iniisip na agad yung 2nd baby di pa nga ako nanganganak :bonk: lol! ).

I will try to go to OUAC branch near our place to check out their stuff. Thanks again for sharing that store.

I'm sorry for the loss of your first pregnancy. Don't have much advice to give but maybe not to pressure your self too much and just enjoy with each other. Me and my husband never ever use any contraceptions but it took us 1 year and 2 months before we hit the jackpot, so I think it'll just come when it's the right time and your body is ready.

Maybe you can read some of these articles and hope it will help..
