Hello mga buntis and mommies,

Kakagalingko lang sa OB and guess what?? 4cm pa rin ako lol! Ewan ko ba! Ayaw na yata bumaba ni baby, 12 days na cyang 4cm pero this time daw eh mejo bumaba na lalo yung head nya ng unti compare sa last visit ko.

Lol...well, that should be good news. Next week sa next check-up mo term na si baby so you just need to sit tight and wait for labor to start. Ako, eto...naiinip. Feels like ang tagal ng week na 'to. Sa Wednesday pa next check-up ko. Am somewhat frustrated kasi the OB who will be performing the CS isn't the OB I've been seeing....seems to be the problem when your OB is part of a partnership clinic. So I scheduled my last 3 check-ups and post-natals with the OB who'll be performing the surgery. Chose the baby's pedia, too, and I am quite glad that she will be Maizy's permanent OB. Plus, pwede mag walk-in sa clinic nila and they are open 7 days a week

@Doc Gracey, oo nga mejo nakakafrustrate nga yung biglang pagbabago ng OB pero at least may time pa rin kayo sa getting-to-know each other na 3 weeks Saka okay naman pala at least 7 days aweek silang open

sana dumating na kasi nakakainip at nakakapagod na rin...tinanong ko nga ob ko kanina kung okay lang magtalik sabi nya it can make you more dilated so yun baka araw- arawin na lang namin ng hubby ko para maglabor na ako kaysa mainduced hahahaha...

brettane, i do non stress test twice a week kasi minomonitor nila ang heart rate at movement ng baby ko kasi maliit ang aking baby at 37 weeks my baby only weighed 5.3 pounds so next week baka iinduce na ako base on the result ng ultrasound ko next week...but my baby is normal yun nga lang maliit hehehehe...my ob calls him peanut hehehehe...

Doc gracey - hindi pa ako nangitlog... he..he..he.. We went to my OB yesterday. Everything went fine and he told us that I'm not dilated yet. Hope our baby will be here before Christmas. Also, we already done our pre-admission at the hospital and pay our co-pay of $250.00. We're getting excited!

Hello! Ang taas ng blood sugar ko DAW! Ewan ko ba... bakit ba pakiramdam ko pineperahan kami ng laboratory dito!!! Ang dami ko naman friends sa pinas ayos lang sila kain pa ng ng kain ng sweets ala naman ako narinig na problema. Ung OB ko, ninenerbyos ako sa dami ng test na ipinagagawa!

Elevated blood sugar in pregnancy is a case-to-case basis. Pregnancy hormones make the body resistant to insulin which controls blood sugar levels...more so if there is a family history of diabetes. Advanced maternal age can also cause this. My blood sugar was elevated, too, and they had me undergo a 3-hour test to try to confirm this. In my case though, my 3-hour test had odd results and I had to self-monitor my blood sugar 3 times daily after each meal. 1.5 months later, my blood sugar monitoring has been ok and I have stopped monitoring altogether, just doing a spot check every now and then. Note, though, that even if your friends' sugar levels are normal, it still isn't a good idea to have such a sweet tooth during pregnancy as it can result in a baby's big birth weight.

Sad to say, but there are still tests to undergo, depending on how your pregnancy turns out. Hopefully, all will be fine.

We do not have any history of diabetes. I'm still young (26). I've already quit eating sweet foods like soda, cookies, cakes, and even carbs. It just drives me crazy that I have to go through all these test since they cost so much. I'm going to check with the local hospital if they can give me discount for all these test since we can't afford them. Money can go somewhere else like house bills.

I was wondering pwede ba hindi mag-undergo nung ibang test? Ang dami kasi... I have another one scheduled for Dec 25-30th.... para makita daw kung nag-sarado ung spinal cord. Un ang pag-kakaintindi ko. Just wondering... I know hindi ito ginagawa sa Pinas... hindi naman siguro 'life and death' ito?
