Tuesday 8:00AM- nagpunta kami sa kidney specialist ni baby and we found out na 6.5 lbs na si baby and he is really doing well. The amount of fluid in his kidneys didn't increased. So bale 2 months in a row na hindi nagincrease

Tuesday 9:30PM- I had contraction from 9:30PM - 11:30 PM and the interval is every 10 mins which is not good. I didn't call my OB yet instead we waited another hour to see if the contraction will stop or continue but apparently the interval get closer. Naging 5 mins cya.

Wednesday 12:30AM - We decided to call OB then she told me to go to the hospital na pero I told her if it is possible for me to observe myself pa here at home for another 2 hours because I don't want to go to the hosp then Braxton Hicks lang pla. She said ok and asked me to take a warm bath and lay down in bed but if I am still having contraction then ayun we went straight to Labor and Delivery room na as per advised ng OB.

Wednesday 2AM - I was in labor and delivery room then they attached devices on my belly to monitor on how many contractions I am having and pati yung movement counts ni baby. We don't have probs in regards baby's movement as he moves ALOT most of the time. They admitted me for 2 and half hours for monitoring then they gave me Terbutaline shot to stop the frequent contraction. I was only 34 weeks and 5 days pregnant that day so as much as possible eh they want to prolong the pregnancy. The terbutaline made the contraction stopped so they discharged me at 4:30AM

Wednesday 1:40PM - went to OB for my monthly check-up then they asked me if I ever had contraction again after getting the shot. I said yes, only once since 12PM (time na gumising ako) then 2:10PM while talking to my OB eh may contraction ulit and she touched my belly to feel it then after 20 mins eh another contraction na naman. She decided to admit me again and this time eh over night na to monitor my contraction again kasi 2cm dilated na ako. Again, they attached those devices again on my belly para bilangin ang contraction. They gave me the shot again then nagstop ulit contraction. They decided to discharge me 8PM instead na magover night ako kasi umeepekto yung shot na binigay sa akin. Niresetahan na lang ako ng Terbutaline in a pill form na i-tatake ko everytime na may contraction.

Friday 10AM - Appointment ulit sa OB and this time eh exactly 35 weeks na ako and 4cm dilated na. OB decided na I should stop taking Terbutaline since unstoppable na si baby na lumabas. According to her let my body do the thing na daw.

Hubby and I were so busy this week. Halos everyday na sa doktor kami. Good thing na off ang hubby ko since monday til yester. Mejo natatakot na ako kasi anytime this day or tom or early next week eh mangingitlog na ako.

I hope everything is doing well sa inyong lahat :)

Nasa stage 1 lang so they say na usually eh kusang nagheheal yun once the baby is born pero the urologist needs to check him din pagkalabas nya. Then he might go under several tests din then check up ulit after 6 months. And so far my baby is doing well naman. His specialist named him "Happy Zac" (Zachary kasi magiging firstname ng baby namin) kasi lagi cyang active during ultrasound na parang laging masaya hehe :) Yung ibang may hydronephrosis na malala eh inooperahan or minsan under medication.

Hay naku, walang katapusang contraction in fact eh nagcocontract ako while typing this  .

Wow...

I hope everything goes fine with your impending labor and delivery. Inggit ako really, but I guess ok na rin since i am getting ready preparing for thanksgiving and then the holidays (getting the house ready for post-christmas guests a.k.a. Maizy's ninongs and ninangs).

So...you are staying at home till the contractions progress?

Think of more intense menstrual cramps. Then think of those lasting 30 secs or longer, about 2 mins apart. Is really ouchy

Yung contraction is yung naninigas yung tiyan mo. There are times na masakit ang contraction kapag nakahiga kaysa nakatayo at naglalakad, I guess that's why my OB tells me to walk kapag may contraction.

I'm not the pregnant mommy, but the daddy, and technically I cant post here. But my wife wont, and I dont know where else to turn.

My wife has been here from the Philippines since May 3. She has her permanant resident card now, and social security card and drivers license, and she is working at a part time job. She is 16 days pregnant as of today.

I lost my job one week ago. We have no insurance. I went to the health department and to social services here in my town, trying to get assistance. We live in a very small town in rural southwest Virginia. I learned that my wife is not elligible for medicaid until she has been here for 5 years. She is entitled to emergency medicaid only, which only covers labor, delivery and about 96 hours after delivery.

Right after we got married, she became pregnant, and had a miscarriage, February 2008. So I am concerned and want her to have prenatal care. But we just dont have the money for it. I dont know where to turn for help for her. It isnt a good time for her to be pregnant, and it was a surprise and a shock for both of us, but I am also happy she is pregnant. She is depressed, afraid, because of me not having a job. Prenatal care of some kind would help her fears significantly I think. I am doing all I can to find a new job now. She is working all the hours she can too.

Anyways... I just am hoping someone will know first hand where to turn for some kind of prenatal help... some way that it can be made affordable. Thanks.

Brian and Josephine in Bristol Virginia

try to look for any program for pregnant women in your state and apply...here in hawaii even if you are not usc and havent live here for 5 years and even your a new immigrant as long as you meet the income requirement they will give you free medical...free prenatal care, labor and delivery.

there was a lady from the pi, when she got here february this year she was already pregnant then she applied for that program and was able to get free medical...its just so lucky for her baby because her baby is automatically a usc since it was born here...hehehehe.

i have free medical too thats why we dont have any problem about it...i have my own ob, i go for check up just like those people who have medical...they really make sure that pregnant women and children are being taken care of wether your usc or not.

Well, I am excited. First of all, I can already see that coverage by state, when having a financial difficulty such as unemployment, differs state to state. In Virginia, there is virtually no resources available. Medicaid requires that ANY person here, with a few exceptions, from any other country must be here 5 years in order to get any medicaid coverage. It has nothing to do with immigration requirements, only time here. Five years is the rule.

Yesterday after taking my wife to work for her part time job at 5AM I came home and got online and searched more, and found a place here called "Abortion Alternatives, Pregnancy Crisis Cener". It is a Christian outreach center. I called their number at 5AM, just in case, and this man answered who was very kind. I went to see him at 11AM. He was an older man. It turns out this agency is also supported by my church! He was able to make arrangements for a FREE sonogram at an OBGYN here, on December 14, around the time when they can really SEE the fetus and the placenta. I am so exvcited... we have an appointment. And it sounds like they have a sliding scale for payment, for follow-up exams, based on employment. And this Christian place will make sure our baby has a car seat and a bed before it is born too. And they have a building FULL of free maternity clothing for my wife too! And much clothing for when the baby is born all the way until it is a toddler. And free toys too! And he already gave me free prenatal vitamins for my wife, and said he has more of that, all she will need, through her pregnancy. The vitamins have 800 mg folic acid. I read that 400 is good for brain development. I am so happy and relieved. Thank GOD for leading me to this man and place. And thank God for you all too. If you all dot mind, I would like to stay around this group to have you all to talk with through this, since I dont really have anyone else to talk to.

Thank you...

God does work in mysterious ways. He would not have given you such a precious gift of life if He thought that you could not see this through. Am glad that things are turning out well for you. 800 mg of folic acid is right about enough. You will have to support her through morning sickness, if any, as that is really unpleasant for her.

And, yes, you are free to stay around; I don't see why not :)

Congratulations to you both!

We got a blender from my parents, for my wife's birthday, this Sunday, tomorrow, November 22. I am excited about that. She is a tiny woman, and doesnt eat much. I worry about all the nutrients she needs from fruits and vegetables, and I am going to be using this blender a lot for making drinks for her with all the 'good stuff' inside. I made her fruit drinks already, and sent some with her to work too, with carnation french vanilla breakfast drink added. I put that in, and banana, pear, strawberry, more vanila flavoring, honey, milk.... Tonight I will be making her a good vegetable drink, with spinach, tomato juice, onion, carrots, radishes, brocoli, celery, and some mild seasonings. I want to get those kinds of nutrients up in her system.

I am excited! God bless you all

Today we were looking online to see what the baby might look like. She has a lot of Chinese in her, and Filipino and Spanish. I have a lot of German, some Dutch and French. That baby will be the United Nations

Lol...am curious, too what our daughter will look like. I have more Spanish than Filipino, hardly any Chinese. My husband is a mix of Spanish, Welsh, French, and German. So we shall see.

Don't forget to put some protein in her diet as proteins are building blocks for the baby's tissue formation. She is fortunate to have such a supportive a husband as you.

My husband and I invested in baby stuff early, putting them all together over the past months. Getting stuff here and there a little at a time helped with our household budget. Now, everything is basically here...just waiting for the owner to be born.

Filed: K-3 Visa Country: Philippines
Timeline

Thanks.

try to look for any program for pregnant women in your state and apply...here in hawaii even if you are not usc and havent live here for 5 years and even your a new immigrant as long as you meet the income requirement they will give you free medical...free prenatal care, labor and delivery.

there was a lady from the pi, when she got here february this year she was already pregnant then she applied for that program and was able to get free medical...its just so lucky for her baby because her baby is automatically a usc since it was born here...hehehehe.

i have free medical too thats why we dont have any problem about it...i have my own ob, i go for check up just like those people who have medical...they really make sure that pregnant women and children are being taken care of wether your usc or not.

Brian in Virginia

Congratulations...God is great! There are more things you have to look forward to and it gets more exciting week by week. Dont also forget her Dairy diet. Buy her a book for pregnancy to get more ideas. Welcome to this thread and God Bless!
