Hey everyone!!!

ive been slightly off the boil, myself and my fiancee split up a couple of months ago (the stress of this whole thing and not seeing each other for so damn long)...but now everything is back on track and im trying to sort through and salvage our documentation.

my question (probably first of many) is this.....

i received a letter in march from the embassy in london saying our visa petition had been approved and gave me my case number and 2 web links regarding putting together our documents for interview and then my medical. i am assuming this is my packet 3 but was actually expecting a larger envelope with all my relevant documents enclosed and ready to fill in....

ive looked on the link which takes me to the london embassy page and have filled and printed my:

ds 230

ds 156

ds 156k

iv-15k

i am waiting for my police report to come back to me but am actually really confused about what and when to send things...do i send my ds 230 straight away on its own as implied on their web site?

please help!!!

Maybe peek into the regional forum..they will definitely be able to help you. In Vancouver they ask you to fax it and bring the originals with you. But I realize every consulate is different. Sorry I couldn't be of any assistance. Congrats on getting back together though! This process is trying.

I-751 file: 11/07/11

NOA1 date: 11/10/11

Biometrics: 11/30/11

Approval: 08/17/12

Hold what you got and maintain.

That's smart. More of the embassies should do that.

I know short of being able to e-mail it I think its a great idea. And work has a fax machine so I like to not pay for my long distance faxes...

Read the whole page in the link they give you, it has instructions for what you do with each form once they are filled out.

Yes, you CAN send in the forms you need to send in before you send in your checklist (The IV form).

Do NOT send in the checklist until you have all of the documents needed for the interview physically in your hands. (like your police cert.) Sending in the checklist says that you are ready for an interview, and can be sent in separately.

I think you should send in your form(s) soon, to ensure they don't think the case is abandoned. The checklist can follow later, once you have received your police cert (and checked it for errors) and dug out your birth certificate (long form) etc.
