Hello, can anyone please tell me how the medical exam works?

I already have some of the vaccines they ask for but I don't know if I have records of them.

Does the doctor go by what you tell him you have or do you have to take proof that you already have those vaccines? And if I'm missing some of the vaccines, do I get them right there at the medical exam or do I have to go back to get them? And can the medical exam be done anywhere in the country or does it have to be in the city where the embassy is located?

Sorry I know it's a lot of questions, but I don't know how it works.

Thank you

We told the woman there that we were going for a K visa and wanted to avoid the ridiculous fees they charge at the doctor's and what vaccinations would she recommend for an American visa. So Fernando got 6 vaccinations (I can tell you which ones exactly if you want to know) for a total of $293,000. We went to Dr Maria and were in and out in about 5 minutes--no additional vaccinations needed. Easy!

Oh and PS--he had no vaccination records. No problem if you go to the Red Cross and take that card to the medical.

Thank you so much!

Can you please tell me which vaccinations he got? And can I do this at the Red Cross in Barranquilla or does it have to be in Bogota? TIA

Roxy,

I have a question for you. My husband has gotten his vaccinations records and he's taken some more to make sure hes cover. my question is, can he go to the doctors with out a form from inmigration (embassy or NVC packets)

to take the medical before the vaccinations he's taken get too old and the docs make him take it again to make $$$$$$

and where do I find that info on where to go for medicals.

Thanks so much,

Mayra

So is it better to get vaccines at Red Cross? Does RC know all required vaccines for US immigrant visa?

BUmrungrad Hospital requires a form. I thiknk it's the one on the US embassy web site. Check your embassy's web site for downloadable forms. :)\\

Yeah, I have no records either though I got them.
