Haole, I wanted to put on that question as "upon approval of K1 visa" is there any way that I can write that in the form/

Where do you want to write that?

Hi

Am currently on the same stage as u, filling out DS156

#22- i will leave this blank (it's advisable not to make any plans till the visa is in hand- i've read it too many times on vj and thats what we are gonna follow)

#33- i will answer "NO". (i may study but not definite so no makes sense)

(if you answer YES, you can support it with: "unknown" )

hope it helps.... and best of luck to us :star:

If you leave blanks the guard will make you go to the back of the line and fill it out!

#22 asks "When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.? Provide specific date if known." upon approval of K1 visa" but they were in a box right, with day month year......

No date yet?

thats what ive been saying.....no space to write a word/s... just boxes for date/yr/mo.

I believe you are filling out the DS 156, not the DS 156K. Check out the example form on VJ... On the example, question 22 is left blank. If you don't know the date you intend on arriving, then just leave it blank. I put in a date, because I know the exact day I will be moving to the US. For the school question, put "yes" because you DO intend on studying. In my opinion, putting no would be deceptive. If you don't know when or where, just put "unknown" or "date and location unknown" if you wish. Good luck! :)

Hello everyone.

So since we got out NOA2, I've been trying to get things together for the interview.

On the DS-156K form, I came across a few questions I wasn't sure of.

#22 asks "When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.? Provide specific date if known."

So what if I don't know the specific date? Can I just fill in an estimated date? Because I don't think you can leave it blank...

#33 asks "Do you intend to study in the U.S.? If yes, give the name and complete address of the school."

I plan on studying once everything is settled. So what should I fill in there if I am undecided of where I will be going to school?

And finally, once you print it out, it counts as your final copy, am I right? If you want to go back and change your answers, will you be able to do so?

Thank you.

you may answer when do u intend to arrive to the usa like 15 days after ur interview date! if ur interview was on may 1st u can write down may15th!!

and the second question u can answer undecided!! and thats enough, becuz i had that answer too! but these questiosn on ds156 not the "k" one?!?!

good luck anyway

Akiko, I just wanted to give you an update from my previous post. I asked my fiance how he answered the question, and he responded with "I left it blank." :) His interview date is May 14th [12 days away!], so they obviously didn't mind. :)

I think they understand that it's hard to put down an exact date when you're going through the process. So no worries if you leave it blank.

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

So I'll give you a sec to catch your breath.
