Hello everyone.

So since we got out NOA2, I've been trying to get things together for the interview.

On the DS-156K form, I came across a few questions I wasn't sure of.

#22 asks "When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.? Provide specific date if known."

So what if I don't know the specific date? Can I just fill in an estimated date? Because I don't think you can leave it blank...

#33 asks "Do you intend to study in the U.S.? If yes, give the name and complete address of the school."

I plan on studying once everything is settled. So what should I fill in there if I am undecided of where I will be going to school?

And finally, once you print it out, it counts as your final copy, am I right? If you want to go back and change your answers, will you be able to do so?

Thank you.

You can print out and change the DS 156, DS 156K and DS 157 as many times as you want. They don't go anywhere.

When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.? WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF RECEIVING YOUR VISA.

"Do you intend to study in the U.S.? If yes, give the name and complete address of the school."

Yes I intend to study but no iimediate plans.

good answer but it doesn't have space to type this- its only answerable by giving exact date. so its either that or leave it blank.

Hi

I didn't fill this form out - my fiance did - but upon looking at it, the directions say "(Provide specific date if known)." Someone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming that since your move date is not known, I would say that it's probably okay to leave it blank. Or you could wait until you're at the stage in the process when the consulate contacts you, and you can guess about seven months from around that date. Since it asks about when you "intend" to make the move, it doesn't bind you to that date, and that date only - I wouldn't stress about it so much. If all else fails, you can always contact your consulate and ask about what you should answer. :)

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

So I'll give you a sec to catch your breath.
