About how long will it take from the interview to receive the Green Card?

USCIS

12/03/2008...Sent I-130 form

12/04/2008...Papers reached Chicago LockBox (1Day)

12/11/2008...NOA1 (7days)

12/22/2008...NOA1 hard copy received (11 days ~ Heavy Snowfall Delayed Mail)

03/14/2009...NOA2 (92 days from NOA1)

03/24/2009...NOA2 Hard copy received (No touches or web approval)

NVC

04/06/2009...Received by NVC (23 days from NOA2)

my wife is wondering how soon she can go back to Peru if she gets her visa in June.

Interview for what??? You posted this in " Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America" forum.

If this has to do with an IMMIGRANT visa for a family member like a parent. The moment the family member enters the USA on an immigrant visa then the green-card will be issued, the famly member will get an I-551 stamp, essentially they get green-card the moment they enter the USA, the actual card arrives in the mail a few weeks or a month or so later.

My bad Yu, I wanted to post this in the lifting conditions for the green card forum. We are expecting an interview day in June and just wondering how long it takes after the interview is approved before one would receive the GC.

my wife is wondering how soon she can go back to Peru if she gets her visa in June.
As i indicated in prior post, if she enters the USA on an immigrant CR-1 or IR-1 visa she will get an I-551 stamp, this will allow her to return to home country the next day is she wants to.

If she enters the USA on K-3 visa this visa is Multi-entry.

Lifting conditions forum has to do with filing an I-751 to remove conditions from a conditional 2 year green-card, your signature indicates that she has not even immigrated to the USA yet, you are a long way from removal of conditions.

I will move this thread to the Consulate/embassy forum.

Yeah I know, I figured who better to ask how long it takes then people that have already received theirs right? Thanks for your help though. She's getting a little cold feet coming and I just needed a REAL answer I couldn't find on any searches.
