Bizzare USCIS saga continues....Green Card or No Green Card?

A Yes/No question for all of you!

The other day I posted a topic about the aggravating experience me and my wife had when we showed up for our AOS interview and the officer told us that when I had come in to do biometrics in January, they had screwed up and not properly scanned the barcode on the appointment letter and therefore I needed to redo my biometrics and FBI name check. The officer kindly informed us that he would approve us, but that there would be no way to avoid me redoing biometrics.

1 week later I get the appointment notice for my 2nd biometrics appointment scheduled May 8th.

Today I received in the post 'Welcome to USA, your adjustment of status has been approved and your GC will arrive within 3 weeks...." dated 24th April.

Question: Do I go to the biometrics appointment and risk confusing the system even further, or do I abstain from it?

...is it possible they fixed the problem or just more likely that they are monkeys running around in circles sending out incorrect approval letters...?

I'd go just to be on the safe side. You can go early and some offices are open on Saturday as well.

Wow! That's weird. I suggest you still go on your second biometrics appointment.

I suggest going to the 2nd Biometrics cos you've heard it from the IO, he actually approves you but you need to have the Biometrics. They needed to have your fingerprint and picture on their record and it is very important.

You should always do whatever the USCIS requests from you.
