Congrats to all the GC holders! Woohoo! I can't believe my interview is just a week away. I am madly trying to get prepared and tryign to fill in some gaps. Does anyone have any example affidavits from people who know our marriage is legit? Or sample affidavits regarding the issues about intent on entering the US?

Are you happy together

Do you live together

No regrets ?

- To me :

Name of bro and sister

If bro has kids and how many

If I met his family

If I was married before

If I am or was a terrorist

If I do or ever tried drugs

If I am a communist

Which communist country is the closest one to the US

Do I like the french president

When and where we got married

Did we have a reception

What are Jamie's hobbies

Do you think that Jamie can say "I love you" in French

To Jamie

What is Juliette's birthday

Does she have a sister or brother

What is the name of her sister

Does her sister have kids, how many

Is her sister married

What do you like about Juliette

And then he shake my hand saying "congratulation, you are now a permanent resident of the United States of America, Welcome"

wow! this is way intense! we had about a fourth the questions at our interview and answered together. Was the question about the president of Cuba a joke...?

One thing about our interview. Although I could see her checking things off as she asked (address...marriage date, birthdays) everything was approached very conversationaly. Was this the case for anyone else? It's interesting to me how the visa process is so strict although it can vary from country to country a bit, but the AOS interview, even though its all here and in control of USCIS varies so wildly. Like why some of us dont get interviews, some do, etc.

but congrats on your approval!

Well, all the questions were part of a conversation, he didn't ask the way I wrote it. I just made a list here so ppl can know what kinda questions they can expect. The guy was really nice, smily and made jokes often. Some questions were weird but I think that he just wanted to check if I knew something about Cuba... He was maybe a super anti-communist. Thank you for your congrats !

Oh and in LA the same morning I could see duing the waiting time that every couples stayed at least 30 minutes for the interview, like us so expect to have a LOT of questions :)
