Hi all, fellow May AOS filers here. Filed May 12th, NOA on May 15th, Bio appt. June 5th. Our interview was today, and we were approved!

They were running about a half-hour late. Our interview was short and sweet, our IO only had questions about her birth certificate, if we had kids, and if either of us had any priors.

Strange feeling to see a large stack sitting in front of us, representing the paper trail we've left behind for the last 14 months.

BTW, no stamp. We'll have to wait...

We also got the e-mail saying the card production was ordered.

Congratulations on the Green Card, especially with it being permanent!!! Congrats to those who have just been to the interview and received their approvals and are awaiting for their temp one and also congrats to those who have received their EAD !!!! Well done everyone!!

I've been too busy to post too much, but today, one year to the day when we filed for the K-1 (8/6/08) we had our interview at the St. Louis Field office and were approved for a green card!

what a year! I think all of the following apply...

Just checking in. Its been awhile. We got our EAD in July 6 and now we are waiting for our interview this Aug 20.

We received the I-693 papers from Dr. Arnold today so now just need to get all of the other papers sorted for our 20th August interview. It has been exactly 1 week since I sent off the papers to Dr. Arnold so I am really impressed with the speed and service we received.

Has anyone any idea what kind of things would satisfy the 'documents showing your eligibility for permanent resident status'? The marriage certificates, proof of residence and finances are all covered in other sections of the documents needed for the interview. This has got me slightly baffled. Is there something I am missing?

Just letting u all know how fast they are working at California...

Today I got an email from CRIS - Green Card production ordered. WOOOHOO!

That is insanely fast. Less than 3 months from date sent to approval. Not bad!

I received my interview letter yesterday. It is for September 2nd.

Those of you who came on a non-immigrant visa, what are you using to prove you had no intentions of marrying and remaining in the U.S.?

I have two different plane tickets, one with my original deparure date of Feb on it then a second one which I purchsed when I realised I wanted to stay until May, my insurance policy which shows it was originally only for 3 months and then I paid to have it extended another three months, a letter of invitation from my husband's parents which states how long I was planning on staying, a letter from my step mother who said that I had a place to live in Australia and that she was expecting me to return to Australia. Is this enough? What else can I use? I am only young I did not own a house in or any property in Australia and I sold my car 5 months before I left becuase it was a crappy car and I needed to get rid of it while I could still get some money for it.

Would emails to my family telling them I am not going home help?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
