Two updates for me!! :D

I got my interview letter today!!!!

August 20th!! I think by the look of the spreadsheet I share the date with some other people!

I also got a new job!! Whoot! But I won't be starting for another 2 weeks. I hope I have enough time to build up some

more stuff to bring with us for the interview!!!

I'm also kinda annoyed that I can't bring a lease with me because the current one doesn't expire until end of september

and they won't write anything up until then. I'm sure that'll be okay though.

Congrats everyone who got interviews!! Everyone else -I'm sure you'll get letters soon!! :D

Double congrats!

Congrats to everyone getting their interview dates.

I still have no update. I have not heard anything about my EAD and don't think I will be hearing anything anytime soon. I think I mentioned on here that I called the USCIS hotline about 2 weeks ago and was told to call back in 1-2 weeks. I called them back today and was told I had to call back in another two weeks. Why? I don't know. I questioned him a little but he started reading off a piece of paper so i told him how UNHELPFUL that was and asked if there was anything he could do to actually help me instead of repeating things that I have been told over and over of course he couldn't. So I have no idea what is going on with my case. I have not received even a touch within the past month and a half. Money is getting even tighter and at this rate the best thing is for me to go home. As of right now we will give it to August at the latest and then I will look into getting a ticket home.

I was going to make an infopass appointment however, from what I have read that won't do me any good. Can anyone tell me whether it may or may not help?

Aloe:

Did they send you an e-mail notice or any notification that they have received your RFEs? Because if they haven't send you any receipt for your RFEs does it also mean that your case hasn't resumed or they have lost your RFEs in mail? Just out of curiosity. I think you should still try scheduling an infopass. Wouldn't hurt to try. Go all out on it and see what you can do to hear where you stand in your case. I do believe this is getting out of hand that they haven't updated or done any progress on your case.

They updated my status on the USCIS website on June 5th to let me know they had received my response and that my case was being resumed. That is the last thing that was done with my case according to that website.

The criteria for scheduling an infopass regarding your I-765 is that you have to have been waiting for 90 days or longer. It has "only" been 68 days since they received my original application so that is another 3 weeks. I don't want to go down there and have them just read off another piece of paper and tell me to go home and wait another month or two or however long they decide to tell me that day. It's getting hard to keep my cool with these people who are telling me they understand my frustration and then just read the same thing they have already read to me and what I have read 100 times on the website. I actually did schedule an infopass this morning for 2.30pm this afternoon but I decided against going and canceled my appointment.

I don't know what to do it would be fine if the two main incomes of the household weren't cut in half but they were and now I am pretty much screwed.

I received my interview letter in the mail on July 7 for August 19th. But we called and had to reschedule, because my husbands company doesn't give their employees any days off (just for court orders) due to the bad automotive industry right now. So he would risk to loose his job. They have every other Friday plant shut down and this is when they are supposed to schedule all appointments.

I am really nervous about that because they say a reschedule request can also cause a denial of your case. :( I am praying every day that this won't happen....

congratulations to everybody else receiving interview letters or getting transferred.

Surely it wouldnt be in their best interests to deny you. Those grounds seem very authentic to me, you cant risk losing your family income. after all that is a requirement of the AOS. Hope everything works out for you, my fingers are crossed!

Thank you TeeKol. I hope you are right. I think it is kind of unfair anyway to just send a date. But I hope everything will turn out fine.

I received my EAD card yesterday. The timeline is in my signature. Sorry I didn't keep that good track of when stuff was ... Im just happy to have it now :)

Background: Came over here in 2000 with family after my dad received an E2 visa for Bosch. My Visa expired on 9/10/2007 when I turned 21. However I entered the country legally so I was able to proceed with the AOS filing. Married my wife on 11/8/08 and we filed my AOS Package on the date shown in my signature!

AOS after marriage personal timeline:

5/26/09 - AOS Package sent (I-485, I-765, I-130, Medical, Affidavit of support etc. etc.)

5/28/09 - AOS Package received @ 2:35PM in Chicago, IL

6/4/09 - I-797 Notice of Action received for I-765, I-485 and I-130

6/5/09 - I-485 "touched"

Now I am bad with dates for the rest since I didn't keep up, however:

7/8/09 - I-765 Card Production Ordered

7/10/09 - I-765 Card Production Ordered (again??)

7/13/09 - I-765 "touched"

7/14/09 - I-765 Approval Notice Sent

7/15/09 - Employment Authorization Card received!!!! :D

7/16/09 - AOS Interview Letter Received (Interview on 8/13/09)

Biometrics appointment was Sat. but husband went yesterday and sure enough, they took him. Got two emails yesterday. One said EAD card production ordered. The other was on greencard - I think it was just a touch because status was the same as before.
